### 4/5 — Age

*2026-08-08, version 2.62.0*

wouldn’t let me sign up because i was born after 2013

### 3/5 — Excellent Experience—Needs Advanced Tracking Tools ⭐⭐⭐3/5

*2026-07-31, version 2.62.0*

really enjoy using this app. The interface is clean, the workouts are great, and the XP system keeps me motivated to train consistently. It has a lot of potential to become the best fitness app available.

That said, I’d love to see a few more advanced lifting features added, such as:

* A built-in plate calculator.
* Previous workout stats displayed more prominently while logging sets.
* Better progression charts and analytics for each exercise.
* Easier tracking of personal records.
* Faster set logging with fewer taps.
* More customizable rest timers.
* The ability to see estimated 1-rep max trends over time.

Adding these features would make the app much more useful for people who take strength training seriously while keeping the excellent design and workout experience it already has.

### 3/5 — It’s alright

*2026-07-21, version 2.62.0*

It won’t let me save a workout or let me change my squat pr

### 2/5 — Bad

*2026-07-03, version 2.62.0*

This app sucks! 🙄 there aren’t any workouts!👎🏻

### 3/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-07-02, version 2.62.0*

Would love for it to be correctly formatted for iPad and/or Roku tv so I don’t have to stop my music to go along with a video workout

### 4/5 — Great free workout app

*2026-06-07, version 2.62.0*

Easy and intuitive app to use for workout tracking. I’m amazed it’s free as it has better functionality than other paid apps. The only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is because it doesn’t have an Apple Watch app so I have to look at my phone constantly.

### 4/5 — Share workout plan broken

*2026-06-03, version 2.62.0*

Seems like the share workout button is now broken

### 3/5 — Resets workout plans

*2026-06-03, version 2.62.0*

Resets work plans often. Very irritating to rewrite a plan I had saved

### 4/5 — Crashing

*2026-05-12, version 2.62.0*

Great app in theory. I still use it every visit but it constantly crashes and closes ongoing workouts and the timer interferes with music, keeps pausing it or lowering volume until I restart the app

### 4/5 — Great potential but glitchy

*2026-04-29, version 2.62.0*

I loved this app for being able to make my own custom workouts and share them with others. Now that the share function isn’t working it’s not as useful to me! Please fix

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-04-23, version 2.62.0*

It helped me a lot

### 4/5 — Deleted all my workouts

*2026-04-21, version 2.62.0*

Love the app, but it just deleted all my workouts and I have no idea how to get them back?!?!

### 5/5 — good

*2026-04-14, version 2.62.0*

i love it 🥰

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-04-12, version 2.62.0*

This is so fantabulous

### 4/5 — NEEDS A WIDGET

*2026-04-06, version 2.62.0*

I really really like this app and it’s helped me form great habits one of the BIGGEST things that would improve it would be if it had a widget for my Home Screen, then it would remind me to do my tasks so much better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — White Blank Screen

*2026-08-18, version 2.62.0*

It’s a great app; however, I have not been able to get on for months because every time I go on there is a white blank screen. The app is also “up-to-date.”

### 1/5 — Surprisingly Limited

*2026-06-24, version 2.62.0*

No options for workouts using machines.

### 1/5 — Wiped all my data

*2026-06-04, version 2.62.0*

Kept my workouts but wiped out all of my previous results. So had to guess…..

### 1/5 — This is the third time I’ve tried to write a review for this garbage piece of garbage app

*2026-05-31, version 2.62.0*

Apparently, in addition to this app, being total garbage, it is being protected by Apple from bad reviews.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP IF YOUR EXERCISE STATISTICS MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU!

DO NOT USE THIS APP IF YOUR EXERCISE STATISTICS MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU!

TWICE! TWICE IN THE LAST WEEK, THIS APP CREATED A 24 HOUR PLUS WORKOUT ON MY PHONE.

Why? Because I started a workout and I didn’t end it? No. I just left the app running in the background. And it decided that I was working out the entire time because it was running in the background.

The developers should be ashamed of themselves. And Jim Shar should take its name off of this. Because if they’re clothes, were as garbage as this app, they’d be out of business

### 1/5 — **Abandoned app, Gymshark is no longer supporting this… come on do better

*2026-04-14, version 2.62.0*

I’m incredibly disappointed to see Gymshark completely abandon this user base.

This app has so much more great potential, but hasn't received a single update in 9 months, come to find out they’ve officially pulled the plug on development. No bug fixes, no new features, nothing.

The frustrating part is that back in 2023, it was hyped up for a massive overhaul featuring an AI trainer. I enjoyed this app so much that I would have happily paid for a premium tier, even if the free version was still offered. There is so much missed potential.

I’ve relied heavily on this to track my splits and log my weekly progress, but now it’s just a stuck where it is. It’s only a matter of time before a future iOS update bricks it entirely, and when that happens, all of my tracked workout data will be stuck on a dead app.

It is ridiculous that they left it up on the App Store to mislead new users into thinking it's still supported. Don’t waste your time building your routines or logging your lifts in this. Find an alternative tracker that actually cares about maintaining its software and evolving.

PS. Ben, if you see this, reconsider what’s happening here. Gymshark has come such a long way from the garage days because you always put the community first. It’s painful to see what was once my favorite lifting app go stagnant, when it could be leading the market. I’m challenging you to get the team back on this and make it something that can compete again in this space. Competition is good, great even, and I want to see this app succeed as much as the rest of the brand, but right now, it’s impossible to stay loyal to a dead app. 1 star for now, but I’m rooting for a comeback.

### 1/5 — Fix the login issues

*2026-01-30, version 2.62.0*

Once again unexpectedly logged out of my account with no way of logging back in. I’ve updated the app/phone. Nothing, just a white screen.

### 1/5 — Fix the date of birth to include a typed entry

*2025-12-30, version 2.62.0*

Took so long to enter my info that I abandoned it. If the first page takes too long I can only imagine how the app works.

### 1/5 — Sharing a workout plan doesnt work

*2025-12-11, version 2.62.0*

Sharing a workout plan doesnt work

### 1/5 — Lost over two months’ worth of workout data

*2025-11-09, version 2.62.0*

Seems some weird “system issue” has wiped my data, and the team didn’t have even the basic courtesy to put out a note—what they do with all the user data is anyone’s guess.

I found it out the hard way, having had to uninstall and reinstall my app because the XP wasn’t refreshing.

All support does is parrot lines (and I expected same nonsense here, as a developer response) before having the cheek to say it was random, about efficiency, and contractual obligations.

How they live with themselves after spouting such utter balderdash is beyond me.

### 1/5 — Deleted programs

*2025-11-03, version 2.62.0*

Gym shark deleted all of my saved programs and the programs I created myself. I didn’t not delete the app or sign out and there’s no way to get them back

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

*2026-08-13, version 2.62.0*

This app is very useful to do exercises and it can teach you do the exercises

### 5/5 — Great for any fitness level.

*2026-07-29, version 2.62.0*

My son got me started on gym shark and it has quickly become a favorite go to work out. It’s great for any level of fitness and there’s so much variety so if you don’t have a lot of time, you can find a short workout and still feel like you’ve done something good for yourself. The trainers are very likable and motivating.

### 5/5 — Love it

### 5/5 — EXERCISE!!!!

*2026-07-16, version 2.62.0*

Absolutely a brilliant app I love it been using a couple of days and can actually feel the pain and see the changes in my body I love that the workouts and the plans are FREE!!! Don’t have to spend a penny to do a workout I LOVE IT!! Please keep it FREE as this will encourage more people at home and at gyms instead of paying 6.99 prices just to see how to do the work out properly LOVE THIS APP!!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-15, version 2.62.0*

Great app

### 5/5 — Gym

*2026-07-14, version 2.62.0*

I’ve had a lot of different apps but this one is the best I’ve found.

### 5/5 — Finally, an app that goes above and beyond for fitness!

*2026-06-30, version 2.62.0*

I have tried so many apps to help plan out workouts and gauge improvement and every single one has started out with a cute little quiz and it looked all official to follow up with a payment plan. This is the only app that I have found so far that has all of these workouts made with tutorial videos on how to do them, and it also adds in different challenges you can do and a way to track and record your progress. I would recommend this over all other fitness apps. I have found so far.

### 5/5 — Still loving the app

*2026-05-26, version 2.62.0*

Please add a copy workout option. Maybe a group workout mode. Thanks for the app!!
