### 1/5 — Minimal

*2026-08-09*

Very minimal and only ties to strava. What about Fitbit and google and other popular ones

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Support HealthKit

*2026-01-21*

This app is incredibly barebones. That, by itself, isn’t necessarily an issue. You can always use a different app to visualize your data or track trends. However, regardless of why the app description claims, it doesn’t actually support HealthKit. It does not write your activities to Health, so you can’t view your data there. You can export the data and then import it using an app to add it to Health, but who wants to do that? You can also export directly to Strava. Too bad neither Strava nor GymTrakr do any cleaning of the data. The data Strava shows won’t match what GymTrakr and your treadmill show. This is in addition to losing connection if you pause your workout.

The app hasn’t been updated in 3 years, so I don’t expect any of these issues will ever be addressed. Which is a shame, because this app is still advertised by True as their go-to app.

For anyone looking, Zwift works fine. But it’s annoying to use if you just want to export treadmill distance, speed, and incline data.

### 3/5 — Stable, but Limited and Opaque

*2025-12-23*

I’ve been using this app to track alongside other recorders and using it to “merge” the two files after the fact. It’s a janky setup but that’s not this App’s fault.

To start with the good: It’s pretty stable once its connected. The screens are super basic but data rich. I know that’s not what some people are here for, but it does what it says on the box: Tracks Your Work at the Gym. It works more consistently than Zwift, in my experience. Though I’m not sure where it lands vs Kinomap and the like. I don’t much like all the bells and whistles over there, though.

The bad:

One star removed for obscured metrics on screen? If you look at the resulting file, there are some metrics (say, on a treadmill or elliptical) that are not available as options in the GUI… why? You’re already going through the trouble of recording it. I liked the data. Why not let me see it during a workout?

Another star removed for the opposite: Metrics that ARE available during a workout, but not recorded… dude, what? Same question.

This could be NPE’s redemption after all the vaporware they’ve put out. It is a legitimately helpful and sturdy app that could be great. But they’re ghosts.

I like what you guys do. I love that you all care about standards compliance. Just like. Where are you? Why are you being so ghostly?

### 1/5 — Doesn't work. Nobody cares. Bad app

*2025-12-17*

Doesn't work. I connect to machine on Bluetooth in phone, but app never downloads history. Annoying. It does find my heart rate monitor but doesn't do jack else!

### 1/5 — Can’t figure it out

*2025-12-13*

My phone connected to the device through Bluetooth but when I go to the app absolutely nothing comes up. No option to search or anything

### 1/5 — Won’t connect to new recumbent

*2025-09-08*

You folks planning on updating this soon?

### 2/5 — Doesn’t connect to Apple Health app

*2025-08-21*

Despite what it claims in the app description, there is no integration with the Health app. So you can’t link your workouts to the fitness tracker.

### 4/5 — Works well - no direct Apple Health support

*2025-08-19, version 1.6.1*

Seems to work great, I’m pairing it with a Xebex Bike Erg and it works great to give me all the fields via Bluetooth FTMS. However doesn’t have a direct sync to Apple Health, it’s the only thing letting it down. It will get there via an upload to Strava and back to Apple Health, but that seems like an unnecessary flow - and as a result 4/5 stars.

### 3/5 — Works up to a point

*2025-07-01*

I find this app useful to record a time series of steps per minute on a stairmaster machine in my local gym. However, the app has a bug where the step count resets to 0 somewhere around 6000 to 7000 steps.

### 3/5 — Make sure sensor is 1.2 cm from treadmill belt

*2025-06-08*

I started experiencing the infamous sensor disruptions after accidentally kicking the sensor off its mount. After remounting the sensor would randomly disconnected. After trying different mounting heights. software reset and updates, I re-discovered that the user manual said I should mount it .6 to 1.2 cm from the belt. After following the instructions the sensor stopped disconnecting but the calibration is now more off than before resetting the software. Overall I can only blame myself for not following instructions. But the user experience is not great. If the sensor is only meant to be mounted .6 cm to 1.2 cm why is it possible to mount it higher or lower? It is a bit baffling.
