## What is GYST?

You know that moment. Too much going on. Brain won't cooperate. Four apps open and you've done nothing.
GYST is built for that moment.
Not a meditation app. Not a journal. Not a chatbot. A 10-minute system that takes you from overwhelmed to clear, every single time.
Here's how it works:
CALM — Choose from 2 breathing exercises or 3 meditation sessions. Reset your nervous system before you do anything else.
REFLECT — One prompt. No blank page. Short answer only. Get what's in your head out of your head.
CLARITY — One AI insight. One suggested action. Then you're done.
No rabbit holes. No complexity. No streaks to maintain.
GYST works when you need it.
Download it for the next time you lose your sh*t.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.7.3 — 2026-07-20

okay so this update is entirely about feel. 2026.7.3 is the app going to finishing school.

- every button now gives a tiny squish when you press it. the app finally acknowledges you
- haptics have entered the chat: the mood slider ticks at each stop, and logging a mood or finishing a calm session lands with a little success buzz
- countdown numbers in breathing, meditation, and muscle relaxation actually roll now. very odometer of them
- the streak calendar is a fidget toy: drag the grabber to pull the month open, flick it shut, feel it resist when you pull too far
- mood logging glides between screens instead of jump-cutting, and the Log button melts into a spinner while it saves
- months slide the right direction, loading states fade in soft, onboarding arrives one piece at a time
- Reduce Motion respected everywhere. calm for everyone, motion sickness for no one

that's the episode. go pull the grabber.

### 2026.7.2 — 2026-07-07

okay so. we shipped 2026.7.1 this week and here we are again. fixed some bugs, broke some more, fixed those too. genuinely playing whack-a-mole in the backend and honestly? thriving.

what actually got fixed:

- voice notes were getting stuck on "transcribing" forever. that's over. and if your phone is having a moment, we now time out gracefully instead of holding your journal hostage
breathing sessions now actually count toward your streak. you did the work, you get the credit. wild concept
- streaks were quietly capping around 60 days like that was all you were capable of. rude. long streaks now show up in their full glory
- your longest streak stat could get wiped to 1 by a sneaky timing bug. it will not be doing that anymore
- apple health mood syncing was stuck in a loop importing the same moods over and over. we told it to stop. it listened
- a bunch of behind the scenes cleanup so the app talks to the server like an adult

if your streak looked broken this week, that was us, not you. update, breathe, journal, log the mood. bye

### 2026.7.1 — 2026-07-05

okay so this update is mostly the "we went back and actually fixed everything" update and we're not sorry about it

the big one: deleting your account? actually works now. like actually. no more "it says it worked but did it really" energy - your data's really gone, photos and all, promise.

forgot your password? say less. you can finally reset it in-app instead of just... vibing in the sign-in screen forever.

your privacy, but make it actually private: fixed a thing where your journal or mood note could show up in the app-switcher preview if you swiped away mid-typing. not cute. fixed.

calm sessions got their life together: the ambient sounds no longer ghost you when your headphones disconnect - pick a new sound and it just... plays. revolutionary, we know.

behind the scenes (the unglamorous but necessary arc): a bunch of small reliability fixes across journaling, photo entries, and voice notes so nothing gets lost when your wifi decides to be dramatic.

as always - thank you for trusting us with the messy, the mid, and the main character moments. we see you. keep getting your sh*t together.

### 2026.7 — 2026-06-30

new update just dropped and it's giving stability

- new privacy toggle — flip analytics on/off in Settings (your journal stays private, always, periodt)
- refreshed Privacy Policy + Terms, now right inside the app
- bugs? squashed. vibes? immaculate.

now go take a deep breath, you're doing amazing

### 2026.6.3 — 2026-06-20

okay bestie, gather round — this update ate.

THE MAIN CHARACTER MOMENT
• your streak now counts journaling, NOT just Calm sessions?? the way it should've been all along. journal OR do a Calm exercise and that day lights up immediately. no notes. we love an inclusive streak.

THE GLOW-UP (aka we fixed the stuff)
• journal pics actually show up now. they were being shy. not anymore.
• the Panic Kit save button works — you tap the lil check, it saves, it closes. as it should.
• if your Journal or streak wasn't loading… yeah. that's fixed. she's back.
• journal dates show like normal dates now instead of that cursed robot text.
• "today's prompt" stays the SAME all day instead of switching on you mid-vibe.
• sign-in being weird? now you get a lil "try again" instead of the forever spinny circle of doom.
• new besties no longer get welcomed twice. one (1) hello is enough.
• stopping a Calm session early no longer fakes a "you finished!!" — bc bestie we both know you didn't, and that's okay.
• background sounds actually STOP when you leave Calm now. no more rogue rain.
• voice notes clean up after themselves + tell you nicely if they didn't catch any audio.
• editing your profile now tells you if your pic didn't upload (no more silent ghosting).
• clearer heads-up if deleting your account hits a snag.
• notification settings now walk you to Settings if you'd turned reminders off.
• plus a million tiny fixes + accessibility love.

and if you're ever having a rough one — Weekly Summary now points you straight to real support. we've got you, always.

ok that's the tea. go get control of your nervous system. byee
