There were a few falls, run-outs and refusals, but quite a lot of these were missing (even though there were cameras at the relevant jumps). I can understand not showing if there were injuries, but as far as I’m aware all horses and riders are OK, so I don’t see why they weren’t shown. Watching mistakes can be educational for those wanting to learn and improve their riding. I also had no end of problems loading the content (this happened when I subscribed a couple of years ago, so sad to see it hasn’t improved). No ability to fast forward through the boring and repetitive ads at the beginnning despite paying for a pricey subscription. No ability to download videos for viewing on flights. Very poor availability when viewing from different countries. For example I was trying to watch the Maryland 5 star from the UK when visiting there and it was not possible to access the content. In addition the recordings have a LOT of dead time at the beginning waiting for action. I fully understand this is the reality of horse trials and events however once they post the feed for replay on demand they should edit or put in show notes that ‘action starts at 5 mins mark for example. H&C has potential but they really need to up their game on the app functionality. I would hesitate before buying this subscription again ### 1/5 — Bad first experience *2022-12-15, version 4.0.4* Tried to watch a live event, worked fine initially and then 'cannot stream' error appeared. And could not get the app to work even with numerous restarts etc. I'll attempt a refund but it's an example of a very poor app. I do not recommend. ### 1/5 — Disappointing app and customer service. *2022-08-20* After the recent app update I was no longer able to access any of the shows, even after upping my monthly subscription and since the update you’re no longer able to stream the shows to the tv which is very disappointing. After contacting the support team and getting no response I canceled my subscription as I can’t watch the shows anyway and don’t want to waste more time and money. ### 1/5 — New app is awful *2022-08-17, version 4.0.0* I’m afraid to say the new updated version of this app is awful. I can never get it to fully load whether I am on wi-fi or using my data. The only thing I can get to work is the live events. There is no search function to find what you are looking for either. I logged back in to cancel again but there is no option to cancel the subscription, absolute scammers and thieves! Now I have to go through a long process to H+C and my bank to stop any more payments and try to get my stolen money back. ### 1/5 — Glitchy. Slow. The app is terrible — it’s nearly impossible to update your password, and even logging in is a nightmare. Very disappointing for an app that should cater to horse lovers and country sports fans. Locking you into subscriptions for long periods with no way out when it was never your intention to subscribe. Don’t do it! The chromecast barely works. If you close the app on your phone it stops playing so there’s no point to cast it to another screen. You can’t navigate through a Video as it will crash and not load. If something is popular love sit. Even bother the servers can’t cope. They lock you in to yearly subscriptions hidden in free trial wording. You can’t cancel. You can’t get support. You can’t get refunds. They have no care for people or customer service. They also claim you signed up for a lock in contract but if they raise the price you’re forced to pay it. So they could take your sign up and then inflate the price to $10000 and say it can’t be cancelled. My price has gone up twice ### 1/5 — H&c *2024-09-09, version 4.8.0* It doesn’t work ### 1/5 — No access to relevant events in US. *2024-08-31, version 4.8.0* Randomly mandates that you must purchase a year subscription that you can get out of even though they barely have any events available to watch in the US. What is available is difficult to be casted to any TV unless you’re content to just watch it on your phone. App Needs Help. *2026-01-21, version 8.0.1* First off I love the content, it is fantastic to have a service providing equestrian streaming content but the app (and website) experience need some work. Please hire a good UX professional to redesign this app! I've been using this app for a day and here are some glaringly obvious UX fixes: 1. There is no search in the app- only the website. 2. When you favorite something your favorites are located under the Login/Signup section- there should be a favorites page that takes me one click from the home page to get to. 3. When you log in the tab at the bottom continues to say ‘Login/Signup’ instead of my name or ‘My Account’. Let the user know they have logged in here or it looks like the login wasn't successful! 4. When I am looking at a page for some content there should be some suggestions of similar content to watch - particularly when it comes to series. The All star Academy’s are all separated (and there is no way to search for them since there is NO SEARCH!) when they should all a pear together on a Series page showing the collection of all seasons or at least show up below each season as suggested content. A ‘you like this you might also like…’ 5. The playback controls are lacking. The ability to add closed captions, adjust playback speed, skip ahead 10 seconds should all be standard and would help make this more accessible to all users. Please listen to your users since this has the potential to be a great app!
