It was a little confusing what all the components meant. It’s honestly the best-looking gamified habit tracker that I’ve found. I think the main things that are missing right now are better avatar customization and a to-do list/task creation option. I don’t have a way to create tasks with notes or checklists on this app, which is something very important to me. I also think there are some UI improvements that could be made; for example, I don’t know how to turn off the scheduled reminder for a habit. The app seems pretty new, so I’m excited to see where it goes! ### 3/5 — Character Skintones *2025-04-17, version 1.8.3* The app itself is really amazing but there needs to be more skin options. It takes 10 minutes to take the existing skins and color them differently. It takes 30 minutes to create a good hairstyle for them, and it takes a day to code. It’s not that much work to feel included ### 3/5 — Only (but big) con: Character Customization *2025-02-17* This is SO much better than habitify but …. I ultimately uninstalled it bc I couldn’t stand the only “appearances” being a white fair skinned male or female with blonde hair. I even paid for premium to see if customizations would open up. The skin tone options could be rainbow colors, same with the hair. Doesn’t have to be the realistic brown spectrum. I just wish it was either fun or personalized instead of singular. Hair style variations would be cool too. Maybe even animals instead of humans? The logo is a cat after all. It’s just not motivating to look at a white blonde girl every day, hard to see her as myself mentally. Obviously this is just a a personal preference. Otherwise I think it’s well designed. **Developer response:** Hi, the custom appearance feature is being designed, so stay tuned. ### 5/5 — 習慣化が進む *2025-01-21* 様々なアプリで習慣管理しましたが個人的にはこのアプリが1番マッチしてました。 まず、ウィジェット機能でホーム画面に目立つように設置できることで習慣行動を意識的に実行していけるのが良かったです。 もうひとつ、習慣行動によってキャラのステータスに変動が起きる点が良いです。 積み上げればレベルが上がっていき、キャラを育てる楽しさが体感できます。逆に行動しないとキャラのHPが減っていき最終的に瀕死状態？になる仕様のお陰で、愛着あるキャラを失いたくない、、！みたいな感情がわきでてきて行動できるなと感じています。 良いなと思う点は以上になります。 ひとつ追加されると嬉しいなと思う機能があり、メモ帳みたいな機能が欲しいなと思ってます。 たくさん身につけたい習慣がある一方で一気に習慣化は難しいので、別で書き留めておける場所が欲しいというのが意図になります。 前述した通り行動しないと愛着あるキャラのHPが減ってしまい瀕死状態になるので、無理なく習慣設定する必要があります。 とはいえ身につけたら新しい習慣を登録したいので書き留める場所があると「次はこれを習慣化しよう」とスムーズに設定できるので、追加されると嬉しいなというところです。 ### 5/5 — As a gamer, this is perfect *2025-01-16* I was on the look out for a way to gamify life more, and this is a perfect addition. With an extensive library of achievements, armor/weapon pieces to collect, and then a stat bar to put it all together, this is absolutely amazing. The app also runs incredibly well. My only issue has been when I wanna reset my character completely or when I die in the survival mode, I still keep items I have unlocked from chests. The reason I don’t like that is because there is suddenly not much risk if I end up losing all my hp and dying. I will still keep all the items I have. I would rather lose everything and start from scratch each time I die. Other than that, I am having a very lovely time with the app and am looking forward to the future updates. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — everything is paywalled. *2025-08-03, version 1.8.6* was so excited to get started building my character, but had the app for all of 10 minutes before i realized you need to pay to do literally anything. you apparently can’t customize your character or even add more than 5 habits without paying. i know most habit trackers have some sort of paywall, but this is by far the worst i’ve seen. i’m so disappointed :( ### 1/5 — No varying skintones/ character customization options *2024-10-27* Really wanted to use this app, but the lack of character customization and skin tone options is a no go for me. I like to make characters that look like me so I can imagine myself as the character in the game - and as of now that isn’t possible - you’re stuck with a blue eyed blonde character that represents a small portion of the population. Sad because the features and gamified tasks look really polished. Would love to try this again if new features are added!! But as of now I’ll keep hunting for a more inclusive gamified tasks manager **Developer response:** In a continuous update :( ### 2/5 — Privacy policy missing, bugs *2026-01-09, version 2.1.1* The link to the privacy policy is broken which feels sketchy😞 Otherwise it’s an ok app. There is a bug that prevents you from choosing most of the eye colors and another bug (?) that keeps reviving weekly habits once they are complete. ### 2/5 — すごく良かったのに… *2024-11-15* 突然今までの履歴や獲得アイテム、目標設定が全て消えました…。 アカウントは普通にそのまま残っており、キャラクター名や装着していたアイテムのみは表示が残っているのに、アイテムボックスは全て空。 設定した目標も獲得した功績もアイテムも達成してきた記録も消えてしまっていて、今までコツコツやってきた物がゼロになった気分でテンションだだ下がりです… 調べても同じような現象の方やバグ報告は見つけられず、使用端末も特に何もしていなかったのにこのアプリだけ変なバグのようになってしまい、アプリをタスクキルしたり入れ直したり端末自体を再起動したりと色々しましたが戻りませんでした。 残念ですが諦めてまた新たな1歩を踏み出そうと思います… **Developer response:** データはご自身のicloudに保存されます。icloudのアカウントを切り替えていないか、icloudに保存容量があるかをご確認ください。 アプリを再ダウンロードした場合、データがクラウドからダウンロードされるまで数秒かかります！ ### 2/5 — not really free *2024-10-19* not a lot of customization for the free version. can’t have anymore tasks that the ones on the advertisement. 0 character customization besides gender and clothing. can’t really make a habit for only week days and not weekends. ### 2/5 — Need more icons *2024-06-02* I bought subscription hoping it will unlock access to many icons but it didn’t. Also I found it very funny and strange that you added an icon of pumpkin but didn’t add an icon of glass of water. Honestly, I never saw an icon of pumpkin… I can’t even imagine for what purposes to use it. I mean, changing pumpkin is not something you can forget, you know… Anyway, need more icons. Please 🙏 ### 3/5 — cool, needs more improvements *2026-02-17* this app is super cute, the art and icons are plentiful and well done and the idea is appealing. kinda reminds me of maplestory but for habits! my problems are with the tasks. there needs to be an option to add tasks that don’t reoccur. also, the daily check in option confuses me, it seems like even if i specify “1” in daily check in i still have to click 2 times on the task to fully complete it. the character customization could really benefit from a color-picker wheel, especially for things like skin tone. (also skin tone shouldn’t be buyable, you should be able to choose it for free.) this app has so much potential, and im excited to see where it goes! **Developer response:** The second check-in is an over-achievement check-in. We will optimize it in the future. ### 3/5 — I wish there were more options *2025-10-16* It would be great to be able to group my tasks by hygiene, mind and body, work, daily tasks, housekeeping, connection, nutrition, etc. I’d like more icons, mental health, and meditation activities as well. I really want different hair and face customization options. Finally, it’s called habicat. I thought you’d get a pet! I also thought we’d use our stats to fight monsters or something. With updates, I can see it being a five star app, but right now it’s a bit lacking. ### 3/5 — I wish there were more options *2025-10-14* Grouping my tasks by hygiene, mind and body, work, daily tasks, housekeeping, connection, nutrition would be awesome. Ive tried many of these gamified trackers. This one for some reason clicked. I absolutely love the widgets. Theyre honestly perfect and cute! I do hope they add more things to do in the app. Im glad the focus is primarily on habit building, but i wish it had a daily to-do section i could add one-off tasks to. Additionally, i wish there was more I could do with my character. Maybe like an afk tower kinda thing? So then i can have my character actually using the armor and weapons i unlock while i use it as background noise or a timer? Idk. Makes it so much easier for me to stick to my habits.
