### 4/5 — Great

*2026-03-08*

Used this app for a little over a year, and even bought the premium version. I like the unlimited tasks and the widgets. You can also have the app on your macbook, which is great. Originally when I got it, I like the way reporting that is available. Now, that is only viewable on the macbook app verison. Also, it has been buggy for me recently and does not sync well. Overall great app, but I wanted a habit tracker that offered better data.

### 5/5 — Excellent app to Customize and Upgrade Habits

*2025-04-19*

This is a great app to customize and make the most out of creating new habits but you can also tailor it to stop bad habits. It is a great app to use along side what I have learned from Atomic Habits book by James Clear. Read it!

**Developer response:** Thank you! We’re so glad you’re finding HabitPal helpful for both building and breaking habits — and we love that you’re pairing it with insights from Atomic Habits by James Clear. That’s a powerful combo! If you ever have suggestions or need help, feel free to reach out at support@indiegoodies.com — we’d love to hear from you!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-04-03*

i’m neurodivergent and i’ve been looking for a habit tracking app that would actually help me stick to habits. i came across this app by chance and i’m so glad i found it. it has all the basic features of a habit tracker plus it’s visually appealing, syncs across my phone, watch and iPad instantly, and it’s very customizable.

the only thing that would make this app better is if i can add widgets and add complications to the watch face (i use modular and it isn’t available on there but apparently they are available on other watch faces). another thing would be the ability to turn off the quotes or add your own quotes and background pictures.

otherwise this app is perfect for what i need. if you can add the complications and widgets, id totally upgrade to 5 stars!

edit: they’ve added the complication to the modular watch face and they’ve been so helpful and responsive with smoothing out the issues. i love this app

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this thoughtful and heartfelt review — it means a lot to us! We’re really glad HabitPal is working well for you and fits your needs across devices. We’re especially happy the modular watch face complication update helped, and we appreciate your feedback on quotes and custom backgrounds — great ideas we’re considering for future updates. If you ever have more suggestions or just want to share how you’re using the app, feel free to reach out at support@indiegoodies.com — we’re always here to listen!

### 5/5 — Picky user approved

*2025-03-15*

I am a productivity app junkie & have just started using Atomic. Recently I’ve been in a habit slump and in need of a new primary tracker. I have several that I use for different things - I like to compartmentalize my life, but have felt the need to get a new main one for the important stuff. A tall task for a picky compulsive logger like me. My previous favorite tracker is Habit tracker by Alain caltieri (iOS), and it shares relative obscurity with Atomic. I don’t know why searching google or app stores makes it so difficult to find what you’re looking for!

Anyway, this app has all the features and customizations you can imagine. It doesn’t look like it has as many stats as the over marketed habitify, but that seems overrated. It’s more important to be motivated from day to day than to be reminded of past performance IMO.

As I primarily work from my iPad, I was looking for a cross platform iOS app, so narrowed it down between habitfy and Atomic. I spent a lot of time and energy researching and considering different apps and features. Believe it or not, the final decision for me was the ability to hide completed tasks. I really prefer tasks to disappear once completed so that I can move on and forget about it until it’s due again - it’s what is so great about Things. You get that clean slate feeling.

I’m not sold on the rewards or the homepage quote, but it’s not a deal breaker, either. Perhaps I’ll update my review after I use the app more.

Thanks!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this thoughtful and in-depth review! We’re honored that HabitPal has made its way into your carefully curated productivity toolkit — especially as your main habit tracker. We completely understand the value of a clean, clutter-free experience and are glad the ability to hide completed tasks helped tip the scales.

We appreciate your honest take on features like rewards and quotes — it’s feedback like this that helps us continue to refine the experience. If you ever have suggestions or want to explore more customization options, feel free to reach out at support@indiegoodies.com — and we’d love to hear your thoughts as you continue using the app!

### 5/5 — Good app

This app does the job and doesn’t cause me any problems

**Developer response:** Thank you very much, have a nice day!

### 5/5 — A great app

*2025-01-28, version 1.10.0*

I’m really enjoying using this app. The developers were very quick to respond back to an issue I had.

### 5/5 — So good

*2024-12-17, version 1.9.0*

It is a very good App

### 5/5 — Great little indie habit tracker

*2024-12-16*

Has a lot to like:
• Nice UI
• Beautiful widgets
• Morning, afternoon and evening filtering for your habits along with any additional custom tags
• Built-in optimal habit challenges
• Built-in (optional) “quotes” to display at the top of your daily habit list with motivational images
• Multiple recurrence options
• Duration based habits with timer
• Quantity tracking
• Multiple check ins with last record date
• Apple health integration to track steps, etc.
• Heat map and calendar
• A stellar Apple Watch app
• Multiple customization options, like turn on or off haptic feedback and the reward system, including hiding the icon from the homepage.
• Pleasant completion sounds
• Import and export options
• Let’s not forget iCloud sync and exceptional privacy policy
• Highly responsive developer

A few wishlist items if I may:

• Field for a longer Habit description to display a bit of motivation, notes about the habit like a goal or vision, etc.
• Habit note log to add a bit of text to our check-ins (I believe the developer said this was coming)
• Custom quotes: Ability to allow the user to enter their own quotes and choose which one to display at their discretion or randomly with a photo of their choice
• Additional nice icon library besides the emojis for our habits (it’s hard to find an emoji that will represent many habits — plus I really think the custom icon libraries from other apps are really a lot nicer and provided a more consistent theme to the interface)

All in all, a great app with huge potential.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your very detailed feedback. We will surely bring the upcoming features very soon. Please stay tuned for the next update.

### 5/5 — Just what I need

*2024-12-15, version 1.9.0*

I have basically made my own planner using widgets of different apps, including this one for daily habits. I had a small issue so got in contact with the team, and they ironed it out within days and now it’s perfect for what I need. I would highly recommend this app and I will also keep an eye out for any other habit/productivity apps that they develop.

### 5/5 — Intuitive, feature rich and excellent support

*2024-12-14*

The app just keeps getting better. The developers are super responsive to feedback.

**Developer response:** We're glad that you enjoy the app. Thank you so much.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor UI

*2025-12-13, version 2.3.7*

Did not enjoy this app

### 1/5 — Messing up my habits

*2025-08-06, version 2.2.7*

It constantly removes the daily goal from my habits when it’s set to Check In, which removes my data associated it with it. I have to manually set it to 1 daily goal.

### 1/5 — Good but missing features as

*2025-05-10, version 2.0.5*

Would be greatw to have features that ss it easier to stick to such as shortcuts integration which ive not managed to make it work as well as integrating with other health metrics such as mindfulness.

Other than that. Great widgets

### 1/5 — Broken

*2024-10-23*

I just bought the lifetime access for the app, and despite saying that I now have access to all the features it doesn’t let add any habits, and the widgets don’t work. Thinking it might be an issue with the free version of the app, I deleted it and download it again from the App Store and now it’s asking again to pay to unlock features. I tried contacting the developers but there’s only a link to X, no email to ask for support. If you’re asking users to take a chance on your new app instead of giving another better reviewed a try, at least make sure that it works!

**Developer response:** Hi, could you please contact us at atomichabitsapp@gmail.com, we will support you within a day. Thank you.

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2025-10-01, version 2.2.9*

This app used to be good, and used to notify me with my habits set. Now I’m getting random notifications throughout the day telling me that “I can do this!” Even though those notifications are turned off.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2024-03-06, version 1.0.8*

Reminders don’t work the way they should

### 3/5 — Ridiculous sign up and average sync capabilities

*2026-02-02, version 2.4.8*

App is fine but there’s no way to sign up for a proper account meaning that I’ve gone through the arbitrary questionnaire multiple times when installing it on a new device. There needs to be a way to skip this part completely, especially if I’ve already done it. Syncing across apps is ok but sometimes doesn’t update which is annoying. But the app has a nice design

### 3/5 — a few issues

*2025-01-06, version 1.9.5*

- constant “rate app” pop up even though i have this disabled at a system level
- setting a daily limit doesn’t stop you from incrementing the counter multiple times a day. easy to fumble and do this
- tapping “complete” button multiple times quickly completely froze the app

### 3/5 — Good but missing features

*2024-09-13, version 1.5.9*

Would be great to have features that make it easier to stick to such as shortcuts integration which ive not managed to make it work as well as integrating with other health metrics such as mindfulness.

Other than that. Great widgets

### 3/5 — Basic Habit App- no customizable options

*2024-02-28*

This App only works for basic things you want to track doing 1x per day /every day of the week. No options to put every-other day as a goal, or 3x per week unfortunately. There is an arrow that looks like a dropdown menu, but like all the options, no way to click on it to make changes to frequency.☹️

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for using our app. We fixed this and put a lot of features to the app, could you try again. Please contact us at atomichabitsapp@gmail.com, we will support you within a day.

### 5/5 — Great app - and great customer service

*2025-11-12*

This app does exactly what I want it to. At first I thought the sync between my phone and laptop wasn’t working so I deleted it but left a comment as to why. The developer reached out and walked me through what I was doing wrong and it works perfectly. I then made a request for a new feature (in-app timer) and lo and behold, it’s already there! They’ve got a loyal user in me…now it’s just up to me following through with my goals! 🙃
