### 5/5 — Finally a tracker that I actually feel like using

*2026-08-13*

Clear, opinionated UI, extremely neurodivergent friendly. And it just works.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review! I'm happy you are enjoying init.Habits, and please get in touch if you have any feedback!

### 5/5 — Clear cut routine and habits

*2026-07-20, version 1.2.2*

I have been looking for an app like this for a very long time. I’ve tried dozens of habit trackers and would always find myself getting lost and overwhelmed in the fluff.

Init.habits is exactly what you want it to be, a clear cut way to track routines and habits. The developer has made it that you don’t have to worry about customizing or tweaking anything it’s just ready to go and help you better yourself. BUT the app also has a great level of customization if you so please. It’s the best of both worlds there. There’s something about the streaks that makes it feel accomplishing rather than another chore, and if you miss one there isn’t this negative impact but rather something to reflect on.

Phenomenal app with an in touch developer that is active in their community. I cannot recommend it enough.

### 5/5 — No BS habit tracker

*2026-07-20, version 1.2.2*

### 5/5 — Finally found the one

*2026-06-20, version 1.1.5*

I’ve been burning through my phone’s storage for YEARS trying to find a habit tracker system that works for me. I’ve tried the gamified ones, minimalist ones, maximalist ones, bullet journals and blank spaces in my Hobonichi Techos, but I knew when I tried out init.Habits that I’d finally found what I’d been looking for. The app looks and feels amazing, it really motivates me to complete my habits and be productive throughout the day. I’m totally in love with it and I will be using it for the rest of my life probably lol. Thank you so much dev!! U did ur big one with this 🙏

### 5/5 — Nice Habit Tracker

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-23

1.3.1
• Quick patch to fix crashes for users adding habits that sync with medications in Apple Health.

1.3
• New Apple Watch app. Check off your habits on your wrist, start a timer, or see your day's progress as a complication.
• Medication doses is now an Apple Health synced metric.
• The contribution graph on an individual habit's stats page now uses shades for habits that can record a range of values.
• Empty routines are now shown on the “overview” tab, allowing you to edit or delete them.
• Several habits can now run timers at the same time.
• Fixed “stop and save” throwing away the session it promised to save.
• Fixed a bug with widgets not correctly tracking reverse goal habits.
• A timer running past midnight now counts towards the day you started it.
• Archiving a habit now stops its timer and keeps the minutes. Before, it kept running and its notification could still record a check-in on a habit you couldn't see.
• Your timer now stays on the device running it, instead of being picked up by your other devices as their own.
• Lock screen and widget timer buttons now act on the right habit.
• Completing a timer from a widget now updates your streak and your day.
• Fixed timer habits added from the library being created with no duration, so they completed after one second.
• Fixed the routine builder deleting habits it never created. Adding an existing habit to a new routine and cancelling could destroy it and its history.
• Cancelling out of a routine now actually cancels — adding or reordering habits was being saved anyway.
• Removing a habit from a routine now recalculates the past days it affects.
• Deleting a routine and keeping its habits now puts them at the bottom of your list.
• Fixed the wrong habits being frozen on the free tier. With a routine, a completed day could read 10 of 11, making your goal impossible and breaking your streak.
• Fixed daily reminders never being scheduled on a fresh install, while settings showed “reminders per day: 3”.
• Fixed backfill filling days your habit isn't scheduled for, which you then couldn't undo. Those days are editable again.
• Fixed turning off cloud sync and signing back in deleting everything on your device.
• Fixed a failed “delete my cloud data” telling your other devices to delete theirs.
• Editing a past day of a weekly habit now updates the rest of that week. Old numbers were feeding into your goal, streak and shields.
• Every check-in now recalculates its whole week, not just its own day.
• A timer started while viewing a past day now logs to that day, instead of to today.
• You can now change a check-in's time while backfilling — for a single day, across a range, and from any past day's menu. Previously only today and yesterday could be changed.
• Fixed editing a check-in in backfill replacing it rather than updating it, which lost its note and its original time.
• “Restore purchases” now tells you when it fails.
• Addressed small translation and visual issues.
• Small visual fixes.

• Small visual fixes.

### 1.2.7 — 2026-08-04

• New color styles for habit and routine names — with optional animation. Part of [Pro], but free users can preview them. You'll find them under “habit color” when you add or edit a habit or routine.
• A new style of onboarding.
• Deleted now means deleted — fixed a whole family of sync bugs where a habit or check-in you removed could quietly come back once another device came online.
• Fixed a bug where signing into your account on a fresh install could fill your history with empty duplicate days.
• Restoring a backup into a different account now actually works — before, it would look restored but never sync.
• Fixed a bug where a freshly restored backup could be partially undone seconds later by the app's own sync.
• Backups now keep exact edit timestamps, so restoring can no longer lose your most recent edits.
• Achievements now sync properly between iPhone and web — each award exists exactly once, web-earned achievements show up on the phone, and old duplicates have been cleaned up.
• Your streaks and XP are now maintained by one device at a time, so totals can't ping-pong between iPhone and web.
• Per-habit streak flames now show the same number on every device.
• Fixed a rare bug where a day you completed could be recorded as missed after syncing at the wrong moment, breaking a streak that shouldn't break.
• Fixed a bug where editing a check-in's time could be reverted by the next sync.
• Fixed a bug where opening the app just after midnight could show a past day with everything at zero and drop your streak to nothing. Your data was never lost — the app just couldn't see it — and force-quitting was the only way to get it back.
• “Sync health data” now actually updates the past days it pulls in. Before, it could fetch the data and still leave those days' scores and your streak untouched.
• Frozen habits no longer rewrite your history. If your subscription lapses, the days you paid for keep counting every habit you had, and days where a habit was frozen don't count against your streak or shields — you couldn't complete them, so they shouldn't count. Re-subscribing doesn't retroactively change those days either, and if you go back and fill one in, that habit counts for that day again.
• The app now remembers whether you had [Pro] the last time it ran, so it no longer briefly treats you as a free user while it double-checks with the App Store.
• Fixed the “reboot” achievement being awarded inconsistently depending on how you earned it.
• Fixed changing the app icon several times quickly sometimes landing on the wrong icon.
• Dates now follow your app language everywhere, so the iPhone and the web show them the same way.
• Icon search understands even more words — fibre, wheelchair pushes and friends now find their icons.
• Fixed a bug where habits synced from Apple Health could wrongly shorten your streak in the web app.
• Fixed a bug where the app icon would not change reliably if you switched a lot of themes at the same time.
• Addressed small translation and visual issues.

### 1.2.6 — 2026-07-30

• New reverse target mode for counter, number, and time habits — set limits like “no more than 4 cups of coffee a day” or “max 30 minutes of social media”.
• New Apple Health metrics to track: time in daylight, workouts, workout minutes, stand minutes, swim distance, wheelchair distance, wheelchair pushes, protein, and fibre.
• New colours for habits and routines, now grouped by palette.
• A new app icon.
• A lot more icons to pick from for habits and routines.
• Improved icon search — many more keywords now find the icon you want.
• Fixed a bug where the remaining time on your timer would get stuck in the Live Activity.
• Fixed a bug where the order of your habits on the web didn't match the order on iPhone.
• Fixed a bug where your [Pro] status loaded too slowly at launch, briefly showing you as a free user.
• Fixed a bug related to resetting the app.

### 1.2.5 — 2026-07-24

• Lifetime access can now be purchased while on an active subscription — find it in Profile → Manage [Pro].
• Fixed a bug where habits with a reminder weren't showing up on the web app.
• Fixed a bug causing an XP mismatch between iOS and the web app.
• Fixed multiple bugs related to cloud sync.
• Fixed bugs related to the XP and achievements award engine.
