The subscription is simply hard for me to justify as reasonable because Henry hasn’t added anything new and useful to justify this cost. I’m disappointed in you Henry because you tracked goals, habits, mood, and had a place where I could practice mindfulness. ### 1/5 — Subscription and privacy issues *2024-06-25, version 1.68* I bought this app a few years ago and was happy with it. I stopped using it but have just reinstalled it to use it again. I don’t know if the original developer has sold the app but now there’s a subscription, even though I already own it, and I had a read of the privacy policy; it states I give them permission to use my content for their own purposes etc. Don’t bloody think so! Uninstalled and won’t touch again. ### 3/5 — Misleading *2024-03-29* I recently came back to Henry after getting a new phone and redownloading it after several months. I paid about $5 for the app initially. What's up with the Pro thing? I used to have certain features before, such as changing the app icon. Now I can't do that. Also, whenever I try to pull up the Pro page for more information, it NEVER loads. I've tried it on 5G+ data, 5G, and multiple different WiFi networks. It's just a white page and when I click out of it it says Purchase Cancelled. What's up with that, devs? Is there a way to restore my previous purchase, or is Pro a new subscription? If so, the photos in the App Store are misleading because one specifically says NO SUBSCRIPTIONS. I'm confused. Very deceptive that the update description was for bug fixes. Time to find another habit or to-do app instead. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-11-13, version 3.1.0* Do not get this app. I did the free week trial but it still did not unlock all of the features. I canceled my subscription and it said it expired on November 2, but they just charged me today on the 12 for 29.99 for a subscription I had already canceled, and even after they charged me I still cannot access all of the features! What a joke! ### 1/5 — Bait and switch *2025-07-18, version 3.1.0* Super basic app. Dev got greedy ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY! *2025-06-09* I purchased the app then it switched to being subscription based. What does that mean for us who had the app BEFORE the change…RIPPED OFF! It’s now just money down the drain because I’m locked out of the app’s functionality unless I sign up for a subscription. Ridiculous!! ### 1/5 — Rip off *2025-04-07, version 3.1.0* Paid for a whole month subscription only for it to tell me that it expired one week later. App says $5 a month but Apple says that’s for one week. ### 1/5 — Users who bought the app screwed *2025-01-05* This is honestly a very mediocre habit reminder app that I didn’t mind throwing $5 at initially. It was so simple and lacked so much I figured $5 was a fair enough price. 5 years later, what is gained from throwing that $5 away? The app becomes free and locks away previously accessible features for EVERYONE— even if you bought the app like I did — and puts those basic features behind a $30 yearly subscription paywall (or $6 a month! what??). Absolutely nothing has been enhanced or added to justify this, there’s absolutely nothing this app has to offer that justifies more than a one-time $5 purchase. Don’t waste your time or money. I think it’s shifty and trashy the company is even getting away with this. ### 1/5 — Misleading *2024-12-29* I thought I was signing up for a trial and was charged nearly $50 for a year, I couldn’t not get refunded from apple even after stating this was a mistake, and misleading re “free trial” final decision from apple ap store, so beware of trying this ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-12-14, version 3.1.0* So I paid for this app, but now can’t use it because they changed to subscription, and it doesn’t work. Don’t touch this. ### 1/5 — Fraudesote *2024-11-23, version 3.1.0* Pedí los 7 días de prueba y me cobraron el año y no cancelaron aunque la cancele de inmediato es un fraude CUIDADO !!! ### 1/5 — Too bad *2024-07-17, version 2.0.0* I paid for it, but now it’s almost unusable. From a buyout to a high-priced subscription, I doubt the character of this developer. It really deserves to be a five star app, I think it was just a bug asking for an extra subscription that hit the ratings hard - I had that once, dismissed it, and no problem since, still have the full app. It’s just such a great no nonsense app, its utility is understated, super easy to use and just get to building habits, it’s fun to look at, and the coaching aspect of it is incredibly helpful if you take the time to use it. ### 5/5 — Great simplicity, great guidance, fun *2025-06-16* Love how simple this is to use and how great it looks. Love that there is a Mac app to go with it. Love the educational value and the teaching through the setup. Love the uncluttered look, great for my often overwhelmed mind. Makes it all feel fun! On the downside, there is something wrong with the payments system. I paid for lifetime access and then got prompted to pay again. I think it was a (bad) bug, not a money grab. All I did was force quit the app and for some reason it was fine after that. I really love this one. Not only does it do what I need but it also is an adorable UI.
