## What is Hachimi.ai?

Hachimi.ai: When it's a lot, cast a hexagram.

A traditional Chinese charting tool with room for self-exploration. Organize profiles with Zi Wei Dou Shu and Ba Zi charts, read a classical text, or bring a question to Hachimi, your feline guide.

Offline and online
Chart calculations and intimacy matching run on your device. Question casting and AI readings require an internet connection. Permission and data use are explained when you first request an online reading. Readings send your question, hexagram, and relevant context through our backend to a third-party AI service. This update takes casting from three steps down to one:

· The cast lives on the home screen: give two numbers, no category to pick first.
· Numbers can be any length: write as many digits as you like, then tap Next on the keyboard.
· Write what's on your mind, or don't: either way Hachimi reads it for you.
· Nothing coming to mind: three openers sit there, and one tap gives you a start.
· Or just say it: tap the mic and your words become text.
· The slide answers back: slide to the end and let go, and you feel it the whole way.
· History gives each cast its own line: open one and Hachimi's reading comes first.
· Settings is now "Me": no more wall of switches.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-10

This update reworks how casting feels in your hand:

· Casting is now a slide: pull all the way across, and the Master casts for you.
· See your hexagram right away: once the golden light settles, the six lines, the hexagram's name, and a line of its imagery appear first. The reading follows.
· Waiting is easier: if a reading takes too long, you can end the cast, and everything you wrote stays.
· If a reading doesn't arrive, try once more and it picks up the same cast. No retyping.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-23

This update makes the waiting easier:

· Step away mid-cast and do something else. The reading keeps going, and Master Hachimi tells you on the home screen when it's ready.
· Leave, or even close the app. Your cast is still there when you come back.
· The casting haptics can now be turned off in Settings.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-14

This update gives the Master a warmer heart:

· The Master's Memory: he remembers what you asked, picks up the thread next time, and checks in after a few days to ask how it went. Memories live only on your phone, and you can turn this off in Settings anytime.
· The Master's Journal: see the gist he notes for each reading, edit it in your own words, add how things turned out, and export the whole journal.
· Asking for someone else: turn it on when casting for a friend, and that reading stays out of his memory of you.
· A new casting ritual: watch golden sparks fall into the board as the six lines take shape one by one, each settling with a gentle pulse under your fingertips.
· Redesigned share card: your full reading, ready to save or share.
