Using an iPhone. Going thru the schedule to highlight things of interest. At the overview, sometimes hitting the star selects it, sometimes it goes into the event detailed description. In the detailed description, if I hit the star, when I go back to the overview all the events are duplicated. Also, it does not consistently go back to the current event in the overview - sometimes it goes up to the top of the list, and sometimes it goes down to the bottom of the list. Makes it VERY frustrating to go thru and highlight events of interest on the schedule. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear of your experience with the previous version. Let us know if the update works better for you or we need to keep working through usability problems. ### 4/5 — Great for organizing my days at a large conference *2021-08-06* It's really easy to view all the sessions, labs, demos, etc in a chronological order and bookmark the ones of interest. My only suggestions for improvement would be to be able to scroll the bookmarks back past "now". If I open the app 1 minute after a bookmark, there is not way to get to it. ### 4/5 — Very useful! *2020-08-07, version 4.0.11* I love this app, it’s amazingly useful! Something that could be slightly better is the size of the star on the right in the schedule view. I wish app wouldn’t jump to the first event on the first day every time you star an event in the list or detailView. **Developer response:** Looking into this bug. This app is the BEST for Defcon. This dev deserves a beer. Thank you! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great app, buggy update? *2025-08-07* I love this app. I love that it’s free and that it catalogues so many events for us in such fine detail. The big hang up I’m experiencing right now is unusable performance changing filters or interacting with the menu at the top left (set local time/hide past events/etc.) Despite having the latest iPhone this causes the app to chug hard, heating up my phone. Seems like there’s a major bug in the latest release. Hoping to use this for Defcon and that it’ll get fixed quickly—will update my rating once fixed. ### 1/5 — Random crashes *2024-07-17, version 5.0.12* Excellent app except I can hardly use it because it always crashes after only about 60-120 seconds of use ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-10-13, version 4.0.9* Zero stars from me the system is unclear and does not explain very well . After that, every event brings up a blank calendar event - no content, no buttons, not title, nothing. Guess I have to manually add events to my calendar to track the schedule. **Developer response:** Thanks for using the app and sorry to hear about the limitation. The issue has been noted and we will look to improve for the next instance. ### 3/5 — Overwhelming, underwhelming *2026-08-07* Another year, another year that when you open the app, it jumps to the start of the current event, rather than either where you left off, or Right Now in the schedule. (Underwhelming.) It would be really helpful to be able to create multiple views to quickly swipe between. For example, I could create “everything”, a selection of everything I’m into; “Just talks”, like it says on the tin; “Contests”, again; “Parties & greetz”, parties and village events. (Overwhelming) ### 3/5 — Buggy UI *2024-08-20* This is my second year using and there are many filter options that just cause the app to crash. Please push an fix! UPDATE 4 DEV: Schedule filters I used were to choose events for the day and the hamburger menu at the top right to filter events by village/speaker/etc. I would have the app open during the day and when I would return to it, it sometimes would just crash by just pressing anything in the app. **Developer response:** Good to know. Please share specific filter options that caused the crash, if you can remember. This app is brilliant if for nothing else that it is easy for these old eyes to read. It is also simple to organize your schedule and now you don’t have to carry around the guide.
