### 5/5 — 10/10 MY FAVORY APP! WOW!

*2026-07-12*

I am so impressed with everything about the Hackley Clubz app. It is clean and delightful to use, it is so helpful for organizing the clubs that I lead. If there was a competition for best app on the App Store, this would win and get a scholarship, and be crowned Ms. Best App On The App Store.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.1 — 2026-08-15

1. Send Announcements With Animations.
2. Announcement Reading dialog
3. Event External RSVP Button

### 2.0 — 2026-07-29

1. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS (APNs): chat messages, being added to a chat, event invitations, event reminders, club announcements, and (for club leaders) member-joined and RSVP alerts. The app requests notification permission after sign-in; declining leaves the app fully usable.

2. NOTIFICATION CONTROLS: My Profile → Notification Settings has a master switch, a per-club "Everything / Just for you / Nothing" level, per-category toggles, and quiet hours. The same per-club setting is also in each club's "⋯" menu → Notifications. Individual chat threads can be muted from the speaker icon in the chat header (muted threads never push). Help → Recent notifications lists every notification the server decided to send the user and what happened to it.

3. CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS: club leaders can send a formatted announcement to all members; members are notified and can read them on the club's Announcements page.

4. CLUB PHOTOS: members can add photos to a club's gallery; photos go through an approval review before they are visible to the club.

5. CLUB RESOURCES: a page of links/documents a club shares with its members.

6. EVENTS: leaders can invite specific members to an event (via apn notifications), and events can carry sign-up item sheets and team sign-ups.

7. IN-APP REVIEW SURFACES: new-club applications can be submitted and reviewed in the app, and content moderators can triage reports on an in-app report screen (these were web-only in v1).

8. Reporting (for inappropriate content) built into announcements, photos, and resources, to comply with user-generated content being reportable. Events and chat messages have always been reportable.
