And it runs beautifully on my iPad. The controls are smooth, and the graphics look great on mobile. The music and voice acting are superb. However, I can’t seem to find a way to flip the controls from the right to the left of the screen. With my disability, I can’t reach the right side of the screen to play very easily. I love that the game allows me to move the action buttons wherever I want on the right side, but I still can’t use it. If I could place them on the left half of the screen, it would be different. As it stands, I don’t have a chance in Tartarus of getting out of the first floor, let alone the whole underworld. Bummer, because I really do love this game. ### 4/5 — An issue I had *2025-05-31, version 1.7* As a Greek mythology nerd I LOVE this game. The story is great and I really enjoy playing it! The only thing I don’t like is how even if you get very far and die, you have to start again from the absolute beginning. When I first began playing and finally got to Asphodel then died, I was very disappointed to have to start over again. This experience on mobile is a bit less than such. The game can freeze/crash somewhat often, leaving your run to dust, and this has happened to me, - Almost beating Hades’ 2nd Phase, - With a really good exagraph and spear build, - More often than i’d like. The joystick feels a bit finnicky but overall the game is great especially as a mobile version. The auto aim does make it a bit hard to precisely hit your desired target and sometimes just doesn’t work the way you want it to. ### 3/5 — Fun but extremely jank *2025-04-11, version 1.7* The core gameplay is decent but it is massively hindered by some small things. Firstly, the lack of animation cancelling. It makes the game so awkward when your inputs are delayed so that is a rather large issue that could be fixed quite easily. The second major issue is once again relating to the controls. I’ve noticed that many of my inputs just don’t register, causing moments where I’m trying to move or attack but just don’t. I’m guessing this is mainly a mobile issue though. Unfortunately, it pretty routinely loses my progress on a run, forcing me to start back at the very beginning again. For a game like this, that loss of progress is infuriating. Example: I was playing, and was about ~40 minutes into a run. I let the game for a moment to text a friend. When I returned to the game, it booted me back to the home screen, and had lost all the progress I had made on my last session. It’s really hard to play a game like this when your progress can be wiped out like that. Instead of playing Hades on iOS, I’d strongly suggest getting it on other platforms that don’t have these issues with losing progress. ### 1/5 — Losing Saves *2025-01-05, version 1.7* Edit: lost another save from the last level of Elysium :( I’m enjoying this game but the game keeps losing my saves. I’ve tried playing with and without cloud saves on, but I’ve lost progress on both cloud and local saves. Even if I deliberately hit save and quit, I end up at the weapon selection room, sometimes during a previous run. Having to restart a run after the first boss is discouraging, so I can’t imagine how it’d feel if I lost it farther into a run.
