Doesn’t always connect to the mesh box even when you are 2 ft away. Doesn’t always connect to the gateway even if you are close. Never shows the correct status of the devices connected to it. Pretty rudimentary coding for schedule (ex: what about using sunrise and sunset offsets …) After over a year this is still a terrible app. Not sure who is doing the coding but this certainly doesn’t help the Hafele brand **Developer response:** Dear P8064, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. It’s not for instance location aware. When setting time control for example doesn’t support “sunset” or “sunrise”. Why not use the GPS provided on the mobile phone to automatically determine this? Use it time control for light is heavily dependent on ambient luminance. Many other basic home automation apps provide this. HomeKit integration is non existent. A WiFi bridge is available (not free) but unsure if buying that allows for remote management. This app is absolutely terrible and it looks like it’s 10 years old. Won’t even account for daylight savings time! Why would anyone use these outdated products when there are 1 million other companies out there with better apps, better support, and better products. **Developer response:** Dear ClosetLights, thank you for sharing your opinion. Between time changes, it’s only necessary to connect the app to the network once so the devices can update their time information. Pretty rudimentary coding for schedule (ex: what about using sunrise and sunset offsets …. These are lights …). No connection to Google only Alexa. After several years of development still pretty basic. How about adding a connection to Home Assistant? ### 1/5 — App still has many issues *2025-10-13* Please, please stop updating this app. You’re making it worse. Every update makes us move backwards. Now when I connect every room, every device is labeled in the opposite state it is actually in. Here is just one example: all my devices (lights) are “on” (currently controlled through a schedule) but all of the devices show “off” in the app. This has been an issue for over a year. Nachdem ich eine 70€ Loox Fernbedienung nach 2 Jahren nicht mehr koppeln konnte & einfach die App Usage hingenommen habe, kann ich nach dem aktuellen Update und der Migration meine LED Stripes GAR nicht mehr an und aus schalten. Reset & neu verbinden hat nichts gebracht. Wird alles raus gerissen & gegen was anders getauscht. Unfassbar schlecht leidrr. ### 1/5 — Scenes in schedules don’t work *2025-07-27* This is a frustrating app. Multiple updates but still many things don’t work. My latest example set up three schedules to initiate three different scenes. Schedule starts and only 2 of six lights come on. If I initiate the scene myself all the lights come on. Weiter so, bin sehr zufrieden 👍🏼 ### 1/5 — Schlimmer geht nimmer *2025-06-16, version 2.1.8* Seit 1 1/2 Jahren versuche ich die unter meinem Bett befindlichen LED Streifen über Bewegungsmeldern zum leuchten zu bringen, ich nutze in der Homeautomatisierung, Shelly. IO Broker, Home Assistant Grafana und vieles mehr, aber die Meshbox mit 2 Bewegungsmelder von Häfele bringt mich technisch an meine Grenze.
