Jetzt bräuchte man nur noch die richtige Hardware dafür. Gasregler und Steuerrad, um noch näher an das Feeling auf einer Yacht nachzuempfinden. Wäre toll, wenn man bei den Übungen den Wind regulieren könnte und auch Leinen verwenden könnte, - so, wie in den freilaufenden Modi. ### 4/5 — Spielerisches Lernen ohne Hafenkino *2016-05-19* Auch wenn ich kein Boot besitze, so träume ich doch davon irgendwann mal eines zu haben. Um etwas "Praxis" vorweg zu haben kaufte ich mir diese App, denn man weiß ja um die Tücken der Materie. Die App gibt gute Möglichkeiten verschiedene Bootstypen, sowie Wetter und Strömungsverhältnisse zu simulieren und dabei zu sehen, welche Auswirkungen dies auf das Verhalten des Bootes bei den unterschiedlichen Manövern hat. Die großartige Illustration der App macht Laune und lässt mich immer wieder gerne ausprobieren - auch wenn manches wirklich sehr kniffelig ist. Durch Punktevergabe für die Manöver und Vergabe von Highscores kann man seinen Lernerfolg kontrollieren. Zu der App gehört auch ein in iBook integrierbares PDF-Handbuch, was sich mit der Materie in theoretischer Weise beschäftigt - ich habe es noch nicht weiter angesehen, finde aber toll das es im Preis dabei ist - womit der Preis der App gerechtfertigt ist. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass in manchen Seglerheimen an Schlechtwettertagen Wettbewerbe mit dieser App ausgetragen werden, um wenigstens in dieser Weise "auf dem Wasser" zu sein. Für ein effektiveres Schulen der Manöver wünsche ich mir eine präzisere Aussage darüber, was ich gerade während eines Manövers gut - und was eben nicht so gut gemacht wurde. Vielleicht lässt sich das in einer späteren Version durch ein verbessertes Punktesystem umsetzen. Dann gäbe es auch den 5. Stern. ### 5/5 — Boali8240 *2016-03-29* Great app!!! Ziemlich realistisches Verhalten der Boote. Macht einfach Spaß, mit der App zu spielen, gerade wenn man nicht immer die Gelegenheit zum Live-Training hat. Auch für Anfänger gut geeignet. Und Spaß macht sie allemal! Unfortunately, at least for the sailboat, the way the boat moves is far from realistic. A sailboat has a center of pivot approximately midship, this app does not simulate that in the least. Also, the prop walk is very inaccurate. Overall, a huge disappointment, it is a pity, something like this app would be very useful if somebody gets it right. ### 1/5 — Nicht sehr realistisch *2016-10-10* Als Spiel ganz nett aber mehr ist es nicht. Wichtige Manöver unter Nutzung der Festmacherleinen fehlen und somit kein Lerneffekt für die Praxis. Auch werden Manöver falsch vorgeführt und der Radeffekt nicht genutzt. Alles wichtige Bestandteile einer normalen Ausbildung zum Bootsführerschein. Somit nicht wirklich zu gebrauchen und als Minispiel zu teuer. ### 1/5 — Als Kinderspielzeug bedingt geeignet *2016-02-27* Die App verfügt nur über einen eingeschränkten Funktionsumfang, die meisten Übungen sind gesperrt und lassen sich auch nicht freischalten. Bei der Motorsteuerung schiebt man für "rückwärts" den Slider nach vorn und vice versa, also genau falsch herum. Man kann auch nicht für eine besseren Überblick auszoomen. Vertanes Geld! ### 3/5 — More of a game than a simulator. *2018-06-19* I was hoping to get a little more insight on how to dock a twin engine motor yacht but two things made the experience very frustrating: first the motor yacht does not react/respond as a real one would. Applying throttle to the port engine only turns the boat, spins it actually. There should be some forward movement when applying throttle on only a single engine. The second thing that was frustrating are the screen controls for the engine throttle. It is far too easy to accidentally apply an input on one engine while trying to control the other. The controls should be further apart, perhaps even on opposite sides of the screen even though this is not how the controls are laid out on a real vessel. ### 3/5 — Good concept great maneuver but controls are no good *2017-09-02* The simulator concept is perfect the training is very good. The only problem i have with this app is that i drive a 2 engine boat and mainly you use your 2 throttle sticks to turn into a slip and park your boat but in this app the 2 handles are right next to each other and i can barely fit my both fingers to turn the boat. Thats my only issue i think it will be better if the right throttle stays in the right and the wheel in the middle and the left throttle on the left side of the wheel that would make it easier to turn using throttle controls and make the throttles wider to fit different finger sizes. Die verschiedenen Übungen bieten genügend Schwierigkeitslevel. Wenn man das hier kann, hat man zumindest verstanden, wie's in echt geht. Have handled p,entry of monos before but a presents a new challenge. I tested out the monos to see how accurate the simulations were and was extremely impressed with the detail. It may look like a bit of a game but this app is actually a really good way to get your thinking straight a dead of manoeuvring in tight quarters. Hoffentlich wird das Spiel noch weiterentwickelt. Da ist noch vieles denkbar, z.B. Schleusenfahrten, ausweichen überholen usw. ### 5/5 — Very realistic, a wonderful tool *2017-01-01* I own a 50ft sailboat and I'm always faced with new docking and tight maneuver situations with prop-walk and wind. I enjoy this app as I can practice handling challenging situations without fear of damaging my boat and others's boats! The app is no replacement for training, but it's useful to stay tuned, particularly over the Winter months when my boat is on the dry. The newest version introduced an option for wind speeds up to 20 knots. This is both realistic and necessary to practice- it's a lot safer and cheaper to learn on an app than make mistakes in real wind storms!! The prior version introduced a nice wind indicator and the ability to practice in current.
