### 1/5 — DOESN'T WORK AT ALL!

*2026-10-07*

BEWARE!! DOES NOT WORK...CASTING IS USELESS..DOESNT EVEN TURN ON FOR MIRRORING..SUS FR. PROBABLY A WAY TO STEAL INFO...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

### 1/5 — Forced To Sign Up

*2026-09-15*

I wanted to support the app because it’s Black-owned, but you have to give me a reason to stay, not make me sign up before I can even try the basic feature

**Developer response:** Thank you for giving HairGrid a try, and for wanting to support us. That means a lot. You're right that signing up first is a big ask before you've seen what the app does. Right now the account is what links your iPhone (the camera) to your computer (the screen) so your live view with the grid shows up securely on your own devices. Our new update adds a welcome screen that explains how it all works, and we're looking at ways to let people try it with less friction. If you give it another shot, I'd love to help you get set up personally: help@hairgrid.app.

I absolutely love this app! It’s so easy to use and genuinely solves a big problem for me when I braid my hair.
