## What is Halcy?

One photo. Every day.

Halcy is a quiet daily photo journal. Each day you take exactly one photograph, straight from the camera, and over weeks and months those single frames become a private visual memoir of your life.

No feed. No followers. No likes. Just you and one picture a day.

HOW IT WORKS
• Open Halcy and take today's photo. That's it.
• Not quite right? Retake it as many times as you like until midnight.
• When the day ends, the photo is kept as it is. No backfilling, no rewriting the past. That's what makes it honest.
• Photos come only from the camera, never from your gallery, so every day is truly lived rather than curated.

A CALENDAR OF YOUR LIFE
Every day is a circle. Scroll back through the months and watch your year fill in. Tap any day to see that photo full size.

SIX GENTLE FILTERS
Original, Warm, Cool, B&W, Sepia and Vivid. What you see in the preview is exactly what's saved.

A STREAK, NOT A SCOREBOARD
Halcy counts your current streak, your longest streak and your total days. Plain numbers, with no badges, no confetti and no pressure.

GENTLE REMINDERS
Up to three quiet reminders a day: morning, afternoon and evening. They stop as soon as you've taken today's photo, and you can turn them off at any time.

HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
• This Week – your last seven days at a glance, plus your streak
• Streak – just the number
• Capture Today – one tap straight to the camera

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Sign in with Apple or Google. No passwords to remember.
• Your photos are stored securely in the cloud, linked only to your account, and you can pick up on a new phone right where you left off.
• Location and camera metadata are removed from every photo before it's uploaded.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your photos are never sold or shared.
• Almost nothing is stored on your phone, and photos never appear in your camera roll.
• Delete your account from inside the app, and every photo and record goes with it, permanently.

Halcy needs an internet connection to save and view your photos.

Start today. In a year, you'll have 365 moments you'd otherwise have forgotten.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-07

• New home-screen widgets. This Week shows your last seven days and your streak on a calm, light card. Streak has a fresh look, and Capture Today fills with your photo once you've taken it.
• Easier to begin. Skip the intro if you already know your way around, and tap today's circle on Home to open the camera.
• Gentler reminders. Halcy now offers reminders after your first photo, not before you've taken one.
• Home shows you how to add a widget, so today is always one tap away.
• Your streak now has its own little bolt.
• Bug fixes and polish.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-02

What's new in Halcy 1.1.0

• Add a note. Write a few words, up to 80 characters, alongside each day's photo.

• Share your moment. After you save, share the day's card to Instagram Stories, WhatsApp or anywhere else. You can share past days from the calendar too.

• Reminders that fit your day. A gentle nudge around the time you usually take your photo, a heads-up when your streak is at stake, "on this day" memories from a month or a year ago, and a look back at your week every Sunday.

• A better camera. Switch lenses with 0.5×, 1×, 2× and 4×, or pinch to zoom. Flash now has Off, Auto and On, the front camera lights your face with a screen flash, and 3- and 10-second timers let you step into the frame. Selfies are sharper and show the full, uncropped frame.

• One continuous calendar. Today is where you start, and you scroll up to go back through your months.

• Fixes and improvements to make saving your photo more reliable.
