My golden learned quickly how to use it, the app was easy to build fences and program. But there will be times I look at the app and it shows my dog on one side of my property whenever she is on the other. Or it will just go offline. I have very few trees and large open fields, so I know that’s not the problem, and I always put in on as per the instructions to ensure the antenna is in the right position ### 3/5 — Faulty GPS *2026-08-24, version 2.13.0* The GPS says my dog is near a boundary and will go off when she’s just laying down on the couch. She will be nowhere near a boundary, inside of a building, and it still goes off. But thanks to the halo collar I was available to find him right away. Last year he did the same and I could not find him till a neighbor return him to me the following morning, after that scary moment I decided to invest the money into a gps collar and halo was the best option. She pretty much was living her life on a chain. My son told me about the Halo collar & within 2 days of having it, she was trained! Now she has a big yard to run in! Her life has gotten immensely better! I had a little trouble with it charging, so contacted help desk. Venice, the employee that helped me, was friendly and competent! All in all, a good experience that seems to have resolved my problem… I strongly recommend the Halo Collar!!! ### 5/5 — Staying home *2026-08-21, version 2.13.0* Have an acre and a half property with decent Wi-Fi signal. Dog is now staying in the yard occasionally will run through and get an Emergency warning and he immediately returns to our yard. This is truly been a game changer. He is an Australian mini Shepherd at about 32 pounds and we are using the halo 4!!! he was already a smart pup. He’s about a year and a half old training was remarkably easy. ### 5/5 — Highly worth the price *2026-08-20, version 2.13.0* This collar was so worth the price. It took our dog a little bit to learn his lesson with the parameters. He has a nose that gets the best of him and he’s very protective of the yard. We feel like he wouldn’t even go near the parameters even if the collar wasn’t on at this point. I’m so thankful to not have to worry about him either wandering off, or worried he may try and charge somebody if they were walking along the street. I love that we can actively track what he’s doing, track the activity that we do, adjust the settings, and review his feedback of how well he responds to the parameters all through the app. It’s expensive, but I can finally rest easy knowing we can enjoy time outside without the worry of disobedience. ### 3/5 — Halo 2 was better than 5 *2026-08-20, version 2.13.0* I have owned 3 collars. Love the flexibility of the fence. However the 5 has horrible connectivity. Cell signal is not great at my house but the halo 2 never had an issue. The battery is better and the location updates are faster. But issue after issue now. Collars don’t charge, halo keeps giving us messages saying collars are defective and can’t be used till replacement is sent. Wish we had tried one before we got all three. I guess if they work they are good but ours so far have been not working. Called tech support and was told we needed to wait for a email… still waiting. ### 1/5 — Don’t recommend *2026-08-24, version 2.13.0* Halo has been very inconsistent. My poor dog can’t figure out where the boundaries are because apparently halo can’t either. Some days he get corrected laying next to the house and other days he runs out of the boundary with no correction at all it’s pretty much complete crapshoot. She had to always stay in her kennel when I wasn’t there and my dad wouldn’t let her inside. It is WAY too hot to leave her in the garage like he expects me to do, so I bought her this collar and it’s the happiest she’s EVER Been. With her Halo collar on, I can be sitting at my desk working or even talking with a patient, and I only have to look down at my phone (with Halo app up) and know exactly where she is at, at all times. She comes right back to the house if we only use the whistle. The Halo collar gives her the freedom to do what she loves, and keeps our minds at ease. It was easy to train her, with rewards for coming home, to the whistle. We only put up the “fence” if we are traveling and in an unknown area.
