I wanted to compare the three and thought that by having additional apps it might help me do better on the test. After several days of use, I absolutely quit using the other two apps, and always defaulted back to this one. Easy to use and great features so much so that I just now purchased the amateur Extra app and it is just as good as well. I think what draws me back is the ability to set switches of immediate response to an answer or a response at the end of a practice exam akin to a real exam. Also provides exceptional metrics on my grade level for each segment of the course so I know which questions to focus on the most. There are no stats saved for individual groups. Other app have would save a list of missed questions sorted by group. You cannot just dive into the full 400+ questions. It shows 100% scores on sections I have not studied and will show 0% scores on sections that I have scored 100%. Also, the answer order of multiple choice answers do not randomly change during the study sections. I would rank this as one of the better apps in this. (I have tried several in app and online.) The quizzes are good and I have no complaints, although I would like to see a wider range of questions as I seem to see some of the same ones. **Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the review. Note that, when taking a test, no question in any given group will be reused until all the other questions in that group have been used. However, this functionality uses the test history. So, if you clear the test history frequently, you will most likely see duplicate questions sooner than you would have if you did not clear the test history. ### 5/5 — Excellent Amateur Radio Exam Prep! *2025-12-13* I purchased the app on the recommendation of a good friend who used it for exam preparation and it was worth the money! I studied for a couple of weeks before the exam and I received an excellent score! I used both the Technician and General exam prep apps and I took both exams today, back to back and passed both with great results. I just purchased the Amateur Extra app for the exam next month. I highly recommend this app! ### 5/5 — Very handy *2025-05-07* I’m using this to study for my general license. I like that it is off-line and not connected to some account somewhere. I have found it very handy for practice exams and measuring my own progress. I don’t think I’m using all of its features, but it works perfectly for me so far. ### 5/5 — Perfect Score on Exam *2025-03-02* I read the book first, then went back and highlighted the important info. I used this app as a flash card sort of technique. If I I got a question wrong, I would stay in that section till I got them all correct. Later on, at lunch and at night I would go back to the sections that gave me a hard time. In the morning I would review half of the app. The following day I would do the other half. So, the night before test day I reviewed the whole app, of all the questions that were in the app, I only missed 2. On test day, I reviewed only those two. So, taking the exam was very easy, I thought it would be harder, scored 35/35 and was the first one to finish. I wasn’t racing, I just knew the answers.
