### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-09-20, version 2.0*

Suggestion. Let me put in a target frequency and a measured frequency and then show how much I need to trim or add.

### 5/5 — 2easy

*2015-09-14, version 2.0*

So easy even a caveman could use it

### 5/5 — W4KKP

*2015-07-07*

My favorite part of the hobby is making antennas, so this app is used often. If more features were added this app would sell to hams and other DX chasers.

### 5/5 — Another tool!!!!

*2015-05-15, version 2.0*

Great addition to iphone 6+!!

### 5/5 — Great application

*2015-04-24*

It does just what it is supposed to do in a quick, easily understood format.

### 5/5 — Great tool!

*2015-01-07*

This is awesome and right at your finger tips. Sure you could open up your calculator and punch in the numbers but this gives you 1/4, 1/8, 5/8 lengths too plus other features.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2015-01-06, version 2.0*

Works great on my pos gen 4 ipod.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-11-20, version 2.0*

Very useful. Thanks!

### 5/5 — We'll done.

*2014-09-11, version 2.0*

Excellent. Simple, Easy to use. Many Thanks...

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2014-08-12*

This is a nice little app and was just what I was looking for. Nice job.

### 5/5 — Ant Calc-Inverted Vee

*2014-08-05*

Love this App, saves time and brain cells! One suggestion, can the Inverted Vee mode also calculate height to top of vee, and end to end distance at 'ground level', or 'insulator to insulator'. This would help to see if a particular configuration will fit on my property. I know I should be able to calc these myself, but with such a cool app to begin with, why not have it all! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Wow best antenna app!!!!

*2014-07-18*

Wow want to amaze people with how fast you can calculate antenna measurements? This app is great. Have made a few antennas with this app. Works great definitely a must for your iphone.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is wrong on inverted V

*2016-10-09, version 2.0*

This app calculates wrong on inverted V. Inverted V antennas are up to 5% shorter than a dipole. Don't trust this app. Needs to be corrected

### 1/5 — Useless & Very Rudimental

*2015-07-19*

Any experienced antenna designer will find this app as useful as using a 12 inch ruler measuring 100 feet length.

I am shocked with the reviews this app has gotten. It's ridiculous to even presume this numbers will even come close to the correct length of an actual design. Handful of factors could have been easily coded to its sub-routine. At least adding the velocity factor and size of radiating element as a variable field. This will drastically give ham operators a better chance of getting a more realistic and accurate result.

### 2/5 — Average

*2023-12-29, version 3.5*

I thought this would show me pictures, give me materials to use. I can do length calculations on my phones calculator.

### 3/5 — Needs UHF & above

*2017-12-11, version 3.1*

Please add support for UHF frequencies and higher.

### 3/5 — Nice but limited

*2015-03-08, version 2.0*

It a nice app, but limited as it can not calculate high frequencies. Worth the money.

### 3/5 — Inverted V issue!

*2013-10-27*

You say in instructions that as the legs become more vertical (down from horizontal) the freq. goes up. That being the case, the leg length should become shorter, not longer as your calculator calculates. Antenna length gets shorter as frequency increases as I recall.

### 4/5 — No longer works with IOS 11

*2017-12-24*

This used to be a great app. But it has not been updated in awhile. This version will not work with IOS 11 until updated. This has since been updated, it is once again a great app. Thanks so much

**Developer response:** HamAntCal has been updated this weekend for the iPhone X and iOS 11

### 4/5 — Great app

*2014-09-07, version 2.0*

Very handy to have

### 4/5 — Cool app - not perfect but what is?

*2014-05-13, version 2.0*

A handy app for wire calcs. Accurate enuff to get you in the ballpark. The golden wire antenna rule is: Always leave extra for trimming to your desired freq.

### 4/5 — Useful little app

*2013-10-13*

Nice. Very simple to use. Seems to work fine. I'd like to see full wave loop ('cloud warmer') added, good for regional 80m. The UI could have one page for frequency entry, and then browse antenna options with more room for info. Another detail is the correct capitalization of "MHz".

### 5/5 — What do you expect

*2016-11-21*

Love this app, comes close as stated, I have an antenna analyzer to finish it off, would recommend it to anyone, lots of fun in the middle of a thought, instead of pulling out an actual Calculator and going through all the math, gives me something to think about
