## What is Hammocks on the Edisto?

The Hammocks on the Edisto Community App is a private alumni support app for individuals connected to the Hammocks on the Edisto program. The app is publicly available to download but access is limited to verified alumni members.

After installing, users create an account and request access. An administrator reviews and approves membership to confirm the user is associated with the participating recovery organization before community features are unlocked.

Key features
- Verified alumni community: Connect with other approved alumni for encouragement, accountability, and peer support.
- Communication tools: Message the Hammocks on the Edisto team directly and stay connected after treatment.
- Recovery date tracking: Save a recovery date and view progress over time.
- Daily mood check-ins: Rate your day-to-day mood and reflect on how you're doing.
- Alumni events: See upcoming alumni events and gatherings in one place.

The Hammocks on the Edisto Community App is designed to support connection and recovery engagement through optional self-tracking tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or emergency services. If you are experiencing an emergency, call your local emergency number.
