### 4/5 — Klingt verdammt echt

*2024-11-18*

### 4/5 — Great app but it has many glitches.

*2023-12-20, version 1.3.4*

Software likes to crash

### 4/5 — Plötzlich keine Unterstützung für mehrere Manuale mehr

*2023-09-29*

### 4/5 — Almost perfect but needs AUV3 support for DAWS like Logic Pro for iPad

*2023-06-07, version 1.3.4*

This would be a great plugin as an AUV3 with support for Logic Pro for iPad!

### 4/5 — GarageBand iOS

*2023-01-04, version 1.3.4*

This is a Great App, but there is a keyboard issue in GarageBand iOS while playing notes. The Hammond B-3x intermittently mutes out while using GarageBand iOS keyboard. Please help!!!

### 3/5 — great organ sounds but uses a lot of DSP

*2022-09-16, version 1.3.4*

I love the features and sound of this auv3 but it really puts a strain on my ipads dsp. (ipad pro 9.7 1st gen). Out of all my au’s this is the one that puts AUM over the top in terms of DSP and it causes dropouts (static due to 100% dsp). I end up unloading most other au’s to stop this. Fantastic sound but performance needs some optimizations.

### 4/5 — Great sound but a few important nitpicks -UPDATED!

*2021-12-10, version 1.3.4*

I was fortunate to get the app for my iPad for $59.95. That being said, I love the sound compared to the very cheap Galileo app that doesn’t sound as good (still great for the money and for non-purists) but has a few features I’d like to see added in future releases of the B-3X. **SEE UPDATE BELOW** First of all, the app crashes unexpectedly and freezes up with clusters of notes playing loudly that can’t be stopped without closing the app. Using fewer external FX helps but doesn’t cure it. This means it stays in the studio and can never be depended upon for any live performance. Next, there’s no excuse for omitting optional bass pedal sustain, or the option to have percussion sound only on the B preset, like the real thing. These things can and should be fixed ASAP. Getting the sound correct was the hard part and they’ve done that very well. The rest is simple and I hope they tidy up these rough edges. UPDATE: I left my original first complaint up in case anyone else has this admittedly self-induced problem. The sticking notes which sounded like the whole program had frozen were in the bass pedals, which was caused by my selecting “pedal sustain” on the organ console I use to play the app via MIDI. Ironic that my second complaint was over-corrected by my own first mistake. So, add pedal sustain, make percussion only on B and it will be absolutely perfect!
ANOTHER UPDATE: While tweaking the sounds, be sure to use high-quality headphones so you can carefully adjust any grittiness or overdrive to taste and know it’s not due to the amplification being used. Also, once you’re happy with the settings, try changing the organ to see if you can improve the sound even more to your taste. I’d assembled my settings using one of the A100s and found that switching to one of the B3 models warmed up all the sounds I’d thought perfect before.

### 4/5 — Nice but issues

*2021-05-02, version 1.3.4*

Sounds fabulous . But crashes when making changes to its settings within an AuV3 host .

### 3/5 — Wow!

*2021-04-26, version 1.3.4*

I play Hammond organ for 90% of my gigging life. I have played every clone out there, and plenty of the real thing. My main digital rig is a Viscount Legend, and that is the king of the clones IMHO. I am VERY picky about my Hammond tone!! And this iPad app (yeah, an IPAD APP!!) is amazing! I would use this onstage with no reservations. It’s no toy; it is a legitimate instrument, ready for professional use. It is absolutely worth the money. Having said all of this, here are two things that I REALLY hope are offered in future updates:
1. The ability to ONLY have percussion active on the upper B preset, as it is on a real B3 - having the percussion continue acting on ALL presets is not an advantage. It actively works against organ technique, at least for anyone who is used to the real thing.
2. The ability to map the preset keys to MIDI commands from the controller keyboard rather than having to go to the iPad touch screen to use them.

UPDATE: After a year of using this app, I’m downgrading the rating a bit, because of the above-mentioned issues. I just don’t understand why Hammond won’t give us the option to set this up LIKE THE REAL THING!! It’s an app, it wouldn’t be hard to do!!! The Hammond B3 control layout invented over 60 years ago is STILL the best layout for managing the sound of this instrument, and I cannot understand why Hammond insists on NOT giving us the options to make the app behave like the console organs we are used to. The sound engine is great, and it’s so close, but this drives me up the wall!! Let us map the presets to our MIDI controller, let us CHOOSE whether percussion remains active on presets other than B, and give the option for a second set of drawbars to control the upper A preset. All of this would be EASY TO DO!! Why not do it?!

### 3/5 — Werbung???

*2021-03-14*

Deshalb weniger Punkte.

### 4/5 — No wireless/bluetooth midi connection

*2021-03-12, version 1.3.3*

This is a really good app and I like it. It’s quite pricey so I expected that it’d at least have the ability to connect wirelessly to midi controllers....like a Bluetooth midi connection but nope...not yet. I think this needs to have an option to connect wirelessly to midi controllers on some level. Common IK Multimedia.

### 3/5 — Amazing app

*2021-01-19*

Just bought the app but I miss the Jordan rudess deep purple presets; where are they?

**Developer response:** Hi There! We added them back in version 1.3.3. Update to reimplement the Jordan Rudess Deep Purple presets!

### 3/5 — Jury still out...

*2020-10-25, version 1.3.1*

I bought this months ago but only recently started using it. One problem I have is there are tones that are way louder than their neighboring tones. I have to use a notch filter to tame it. Also, I wish the Leslie sim could have a couple of more features. Like being able to adjust the mic distance further away from the cabinet. On another sim (Ventilator) you can back off the mic until there is no effect. Like the mix value in an FX, dry to full FX. The Leslie is just too strong and I can’t back it off enough. Hopefully there will be more updates. Otherwise, this is a very good app.

### 1/5 — katastrophales Tappering

*2023-11-30*

### 1/5 — Crashes all the time

*2023-06-18*

Basically won't load in Logic and zero chance of IK updating since it hasn't been updated in 2 years. iOS moves forward and any developer needs to keep up. A company like IK should surely do that, this is a really expensive purchase. Just wait a year and you shiny ToneX will have the same, reglect problem

### 1/5 — Crashes loading AUv3 in Logic Pro

*2023-05-27, version 1.3.4*

Bummer. Can’t use this great plugin.

### 1/5 — I used to love this app

*2023-01-09, version 1.3.4*

to preoccupied making music to take the time to write any reviews but let me first of all say how grateful I am of all of those of you who do share your experiences- your words guide me along this journey!

So why am I not playing tonight? Well I honestly can’t give you the tech specs for I am dumbfounded by tonight’s circumstances. You see I bought this app on Aug 21, 2021. It was (and still is) the most expensive app I have EVER purchased!

This was of course fine and DANDY, because the B3 emulator, connected to my midi controller was one of the coolest instruments I’ve ever owned. My primary instrument is guitar but I’ve always loved anything vintage sounding, I own a Wurlitzer, Moog, ARP, etc.

I’ve been in bands that featured the b3 and I never envied my band mates who had to schlep their organs from here to over yonder.
So naturally I was ecstatic upon discovering this app. This feeling didn’t diminish over the years as most other apps in my plethora of never ending unique app.

That is until now…
Now that my external midi keyboard is no longer able to trigger the app sounds. I’m livid about this. you might be asking yourself and wondering what could’ve possibly gone wrong what changed what happened?

I have had no complaints and no problems from this app since the purchase date on August 21, 2021. It is always been one of my favorite go to apps. I’ve always been a huge fan of all the synthesizers, analog, keyboards, etc. I own the Wurlitzer an RP, Moog, etc.. i’ve been in bands with people that owned Hammond B3‘s, and I never, and envied them having to lug them here in yonder.

So naturally, I was ecstatic upon going about this app app, and what it to do, because I never pictured myself actually owning a real Hammond B3 plus they’re expensive and rare to find So naturally, I was ecstatic upon going about this app app, and what it to do, because I never pictured myself actually owning a real Hammond B3 plus they’re expensive and rare to find.

As I mentioned before, this is one of my favorite go to apps, I plug-in my external midi keyboard, and I’d have a virtual Hammond B3, that I use to record in to play end of practice, and just to have fun with.

A few days ago, everything stopped working, and I was asked to “” register my device and enter my private code which I’ve never gotten for any app. Maybe I should register more my project products but ultimately, I feel like that’s the consumers right they should have a choice of whether or not to register their product.

This is the most expensive app I’ve ever purchase to this day. I’ve never spent more money on a single app ever. And I don’t know what this company did when they asked me to register the product but now my keyboard does not work I can’t get any sound out of it and it keeps asking me prompting me to register my project and put in a product code which I don’t even know is, so I did manage to sign up for this company and what did I get probably put on the mailing list they’re bombarding me with emails asking me to buy more of their products. They probably sold my personal information and now my app doesn’t work!

I had to pull up a video from the comedian late comedian, Bill Hicks on what he says about marketers and sales people. They should just go off themselves! And they are Satan spawn! How dare you take away my favorite most expensive app in the name of marketing more of your junk to me if you made good product sold by then I will never purchased anything ever from you ever again!

### 1/5 — Hammond b-3x

*2021-01-09*

### 1/5 — Could be better

*2020-07-12, version 1.3.0*

No profile for the Hammond XK1-C , midi learn function isn’t any help.

If you own one don’t bother , save yourself the frustration.

### 2/5 — Suono distorto su iPad Air 2

*2021-08-22*

### 3/5 — Crashes, and no updates for 3 years

*2024-12-01, version 1.3.4*

I’ve had this crash on me, NUMEROUS TIMES, live! Currently using an iPad Pro M1. Would like to see custom built Hammonds on this, including red capped versions. I would also like to mic the back of the Leslie as well.

### 3/5 — This needs revisiting: especially after three years of neglect.

*2024-04-22, version 1.3.4*

This sounds good but it has glitches, and the glitches happen at the wrong time. I can’t trust it completely for gigs, so ironically, I bring a Hammond SK1 as a controller and as a backup. Please review the code, add more error checking in the software, add more midi maps for different controllers and finally: give it some love!

### 3/5 — Crashes in Logic Pro for iPad

*2023-05-29*

This app hasn’t been updated for two years. It crashes when startet in Logic Pro for iPad as AU unit. Please fix it.

Hammond B-3X cuts through any Mix hands Down🔥🔥

### 5/5 — Hammond B3-X

*2024-10-01*

L’app è fantastica, permette di ottenere suoni pari all’originale.

### 5/5 — Great product but it needs and update

*2023-05-30, version 1.3.4*

Love this plugin but it needs to be updated by adding more Hammond models like the C3 and A105 and more Leslie models like the 21h and the 142 and 145 Leslie’s also can y’all update it to be compatible with Logic Pro for iPad so that it won’t keep saying audio unit quit unexpectedly

### 5/5 — Sehr gut!

*2021-12-16*

Sehr gut!🤗

### 5/5 — Sehr guter Sound!

*2021-05-21*

*2021-02-07, version 1.3.3*

I’ve had many clone wheels and software organs for computer and this iOS app beats them all. Since the price came down there’s no reason to hesitate. You won’t be sorry you got it.

### 5/5 — This is nothing less than awesome!!

I‘ve been waiting for decades for something like this! Expensive, but worth every cent!!
