## What is Hana?

Some days, "How are you?" is the hardest question in the world.

Hana lets you answer without words. Slide from stormy to radiant, tap Update, and the family you invited can see your inner weather — rainy, cloudy, sunny — along with when you shared it. No message to compose. No reply expected. They just know.

WHY WEATHER?
Saying "it's rainy today" is easier than saying "I'm struggling." Weather passes, and nobody is to blame for the rain. Hana uses seven gentle states — stormy, rainy, drizzle, cloudy, partly cloudy, sunny, radiant — so sharing how you feel never requires the words you don't have.

• One slide and one tap — no typing, ever
• Add or change a short note through the day, without changing your weather
• No streaks, no guilt: a quiet day simply shows as "no report yet"
• Gentle reminders that invite, never nag

• They see your current weather, your week, and your note if you left one
• View only: no comments, no reactions, no pressure
• Remove someone or stop sharing anytime — you're always in control

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no password — your iCloud is your identity
• Your check-ins live in your own iCloud, not on anyone's servers
• The developer runs no servers and cannot see your data

Hana is a small app with one job: letting the people who love you know how you're doing, on exactly the days you can't tell them.

Apple Watch check-in is more reliable: a tap on your wrist now records on iPhone and shows as updated, even if the phone is in your pocket.

You can update your weather from Apple Watch — tap a state, confirm, and your iPhone records it for family the same way as always.

Check-ins that fail to reach iCloud now retry when you're back online, and the app no longer claims family can see them until they land.

Family keeps showing the last known weather even when there's no report yet today — silence is still clear, without losing the latest state.

Daily reminders skip a slot if you already checked in within the past hour, so the evening ping doesn't nag after a recent update.

You can now update to the weather you already have. On the evening check-in nothing has often changed, and saying "still cloudy" is worth sending.

Updating and then adding a note used to send your family two notifications. Now it's one.
