What I mean is for example, when I start a match, no matter what, if I have a pine card, it always ends up with a crane in their hands. If I have a cherry blossom, It Always ends with the curtain. When I have a susuki grass card, It Always Has A Moon In Its Hands! No matter what, no matter what kind of combination I attempt, it’s tweaked, Almost as if it’s cheated to have more light cards than the opponent. The Game is good, the bots are suspicious. I'd like to be able to review what cards have been scored while deciding whether to "koi-koi" or "stop." and 2. When I touch a card in my hand and begin to drag it, I'd like to be able to return it to my hand if I change my mind about which card I want to play. Only gave it four stars because I would love it to be a multiplayer game. ### 4/5 — Almost Great *2021-03-18, version 1.4.4* This is a great game for playing koi koi ... if you already know how to play. All of the sets and card types are only in Japanese so if you don’t know what the sets are before you play you’re completely in the dark. The app also doesn’t rotate and the cards are so small that out can be hard to see. However Injust got a new iPhone (the 12 mini) and the top of the game screen is currently obscured by the phone speaker while playing. Now I can’t see the computer’s score, as well as most of the other info bits at the top. Please adapt the app so the opponent’s bar is visible again!! Thank you ❤️ (Also being able to view the cards in play while determining koi koi would be fantastic.) ### 2/5 — I wanted a hanefuda game... *2020-10-20, version 1.4.3* ... not a dexterity puzzle. It’s a small screen interface, yet the designers insisted on forcing you to swipe the selected card onto its mate. The interface is so sensitive, though, that failing to put a card precisely onto one mate when you have a selection of two often causes the card you don’t want to get matched. Another gross shortcoming is the dialogue box that pops up when you must decide to call “koi koi” or stop. It completely obscures the game board and locks out examining cards to determine the game state. It’s another example of flawed design built into the app. Aside from these two features, it’s an acceptable opponent when played on “hard” setting. ### 3/5 — Fun game but bad forceful commercial ads *2020-07-21, version 1.3.2* I’d give the game and the creation of it a 5 star but with these forceful commercials and I mean forceful because with most of them you’re forced to watch 30 seconds or more without skipping. When you’re on a short break you’re lucky to finish a set of games. The ads are long and slow and most that are advertised are nothing new so it’s boring. We should be allowed to skip through it faster. ### 4/5 — Not translated, but very good *2020-07-19, version 1.3.2* Pretty, not laggy, and quite functional. The highlighting of cards is useful for new players. My only complaint is that the actual yakus and in-game actions like koikoi aren’t at all translated. I love the card designs and the shuffling/playing animations. I really enjoy how the app separates out your captures as you go along and highlights what yaku is possible and what yaku you are close to attaining. Like other reviewers have said, I wish the koi-koi decision screen was moved slightly out of the way when trying to decide if you can score again before choosing to koi-koi or not!
