I was hoping they would have gotten their act together with the new app but it seems to be down more than the original. ### 1/5 — Regression from previous app *2026-07-25, version 6.11.7* Hancock Whitney’s app history is unimpressive. The old app was pretty basic, but at least it loaded promptly. The bank launched a new app in 2025 and it was riddled with bugs, so they took it down, reverted to the old app, and even called some customers to apologize. They relaunched this new app in 2026 and it’s much worse than the old app. It takes a while to load account data and sometimes crashes. It occasionally with open my account view but say it doesn’t sync. Imagine my frustration when all I want to do is quickly log in and see my balance. Making it annoying because it causes you to go into the negative because it says you have it available when you really don’t. This app seems way slower in processing transactions and the older app used to show when you had depending deposits. This one doesn’t. If you have multiple accounts with the same payee, and the payee has a long name, you cannot differentiate between accounts when paying in billpay. ### 1/5 — Where do I make my loan and credit card payments? *2026-05-07, version 6.11.6* Either this app is too complex from the old one or I don’t know what I’m doing. Why when I open my loan or credit card account I don’t see an option for a payment. How does this even work? ### 1/5 — Updated and still terrible *2026-05-06, version 6.11.6* Well they finally found a few coders who aren’t first year basic level. The app looks a lot better and has more details. They still can’t figure out how to fingerprint the device to the auth so it doesn’t need to send a code to Text or email EVERY SINGLE TIME it opens. Completely annoying to have to authenticate even after Face ID. Reply to the developer reply: If you had competent coders you wouldn’t have to multi factor authenticate EVERY SINGLE time a customer logs on. Thats incompetence. If I’m wrong why do none of my other banks online apps have this problem. Because they print the device. Your first year app developers either can’t figure it out of you won’t pay for it. Either way the app needs work and you should be ashamed of rolling out this product. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-05-01, version 6.11.6* This is by far the worse part of banking with Whitney. I am embarrassed often in the store because something is wrong with the app or connection with my cards. I will be closing accounts the moment they open.
