## What is Hand And Foot Canasta?

This is the classic game of Hand and Foot Canasta with great animation. You and your computer team mate play against a team of computer players. The computer players do not cheat -- they follow well established rules for good play. If you are good, you will be able to win. 
Each player is dealt a hand of 11 cards plus another pile of 11 cards called a "foot". Both members of a team play cards onto piles on the table that have the same value of cards. A pile of 7 or more cards is called a "canasta". Wild cards can be used on piles (making them "dirty canastas") or without wild cards (making them "clean canastas"). When you play all the cards in your hand, you may pick up your foot pile and continue playing. Once the minimum number of piles has been reached (4 "dirty canastas" and 3 "clean canastas", the first player that discards all the excess cards from their hand goes out and stops the play of that hand. A total of 5 hands are played for a game. Each hand becomes harder (more points required to begin playing cards on the table).
This game is not recommended for devices smaller than the 9.7" iPad because the cards get very small to touch with a finger.

The hand does not sort until you get your foot.   It is so hard to determine what you have.   Also when you put a card up by accident and re-do it, it undoes everything you did that turn.  I wish I had my $2.00 back!!!!!!!!

This is a very simple and basic game. There are almost no options, how your hand is dealt is how it is in your hand, you cannot put the cards in any order, you don’t have any options on how the game is played, no option to have a canasta of wild for instance.the animation is very slow with no option to speed it up. Very slow game, any body can win this, it is not challenging in any way.

Why is it that the guy on the left goes into his foot first.  Why sometimes I can get the cards to go in order by pressing the board in random areas and other times not at all.  Today the game locked up twice…when will you respond to these issues?

I have a few suggestions, first if there was a way to move our cards when we first get them so that they are in order that would be a big help and keep score for each game played so we can see what the amount is.  That way if we are still behind in a game we have the option to continue to play.

Real glitches. Seeing both my hand and the player on my left. Not being able to draw because the game freezes up. And why is my partner tossing a vital card that could make a meld after playing extra cards on completed melds. I want this to work so badly.

I love playing this game since I’ve been unable to play in person with others.  One issue is that when I take the deck, I don’t get all the cards, only the top one.  Since this can be a very important move, I wonder if it is a glitch in the game.

This version has significant improvements to the algorithms based on user feedback. The strategy for computer players laying down cards has been completely rewritten to achieve a better balance between holding cards (for the purpose of picking up the discard pile) or playing cards sooner (to perhaps enable one's partner to go out sooner). The strategy for going out has been completely rewritten as well. Several issues that caused improper play, crashes, and/or freezing have been identified and fixed.

Fixed a problem when you play 2 cards very quickly. If the second card was played prior to the completion of the first animation, the card would appear to be stuck on the tabletop. This was fixed.

Fixed a problem where the foot pile was not placed in it's normal position under certain circumstances.

Outstanding issue: Sometimes the players do not anticipate that someone might go out soon and they hold cards too long. Improvements are being tested and will be available in a new release shortly.
