## What is Handload?

Handload is a free reloading log and load development tool for handloaders who want to find their rifle's most accurate load — and keep every record safe.

Brand-neutral by design. Log any powder, any bullet, any primer, any brass, from any manufacturer.

RELOADING LOG
Record every load recipe: cartridge, firearm, powder and charge weight, bullet, primer, brass, and seating depth (COAL/CBTO). Every load is tied to the rifle you shot it in, so your history stays organized.

LOAD DEVELOPMENT
Run charge weight ladders, OCW tests, and seating depth tuning. Enter your chronograph string and Handload calculates average velocity, extreme spread, and standard deviation automatically. The velocity chart highlights the flat spot — the accuracy node — so you can see exactly where your load stabilizes.

GROUP AND ACCURACY TRACKING
Log group size in MOA or millimetres, track accuracy across charge weights, and compare loads side by side to see which one your rifle actually prefers.

COMPONENT INVENTORY
Track powder, primers, bullets, and brass by quantity, lot number, and cost. Low stock alerts warn you before you run out mid-project.

COST PER ROUND
See what each round costs to load, broken down by component, with a break-even comparison against factory ammunition.

BRASS AND BARREL LIFE
Track case firings, trim length, primer pocket condition, and annealing. Keep a round count per barrel so you always know where you stand on throat erosion.

Handload is a record keeping and analysis tool. It does not supply load data and does not tell you what is safe to load. Always follow current published data from your powder, bullet and primer manufacturer, start low, and work up carefully. You are responsible for the safety of every round you load.

### 1.12 — 2026-08-12

Light theme — for a phone at arm's length in the sun. Dark stays the default; pick either, or follow your phone.

Two new readings from data you already log:
• On a charge ladder: type a target velocity, get the charge, with the range your own shots can support. It never names a charge you haven't fired.
• On any load: how much velocity it gains per degree, and how far your zero moves across a season.

Range cards from FieldSolve now land back on the recipe they came from.

### 1.10 — 2026-08-09

FIELDSOLVE ROUND TRIP
Send a load to FieldSolve, and get the result back. FieldSolve measures what
Handload cannot compute — a muzzle velocity trued against real DOPE, an
effective BC, a group at a known distance — and that measurement now comes
home and files itself against the recipe it belongs to. Nothing is saved until
you confirm it, and a result that names a load you don't have says so instead
of landing on the wrong one.

Handload also sends your measured velocity SD out with the load, so the solve
starts from what your rifle actually did rather than an assumed spread. A
bullet with no weight is refused rather than sent, because it would come back
as a confident wrong answer.

CAMERAS POINT THE RIGHT WAY
Range video opens on the front camera — the phone faces you at the bench. The
target photo opens on the rear, where the target is. Flip either one and it
stays flipped next time.

NOTHING IS THROWN AWAY QUIETLY
Leaving the clip review without exporting used to delete the recording without
asking. It asks now — and only when there is actually something to lose.
