### 4/5 — delightful

*2020-03-19, version 1.2(1.3)*

Delightful! Beautiful tone, very realistic virtual player.

### 4/5 — Audio Unit

*2020-02-04, version 1.2(1.3)*

This is a beautiful sounding instrument!
This would be a wonderful recording tool as well.
Could you please offer AUV3 or Inter-App support.
Even Audio bus compatible would be nice.

### 4/5 — Great app only 1 flaw

*2019-06-06, version 1.2(1.3)*

It’s a great app. You can get lost in time with it. I tried syncing it to my JBL Bluetooth and I noticed that, when synced with something. It have a lag/ it’s annoying because you can’t make a good tune due to the lag. It’s hard to even adjust so prepare to just hear it through your phone speakers if you want accuracy. Other than that, great App.

### 4/5 — Beautiful and inspiring!

*2017-04-20, version 1.2(1.3)*

First of all, this is a wonderful musical and percussive experience. It soothes the soul and allows you to express your spirit in unique musical creations. The only thing is that you can only play it slow because there is an annoying audio "clip" sound if you play two notes together too fast. I hope this is fixed in future versions because this is one of the best apps for musical percussion lovers.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for music production!

*2015-09-22, version 1.2(1.3)*

Thank you so much for this app! I've been looking for handpan samples everywhere and this finally helps me accomplish the utilization of this beautiful instrument in my music production. The quality is very good and the variation on the velocity is quite good as well.

### 5/5 — Fun!

*2015-09-19, version 1.2(1.3)*

Fun app to play! Real pans are do hard and expensive! The response and tones on this app are great!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-07-26, version 1.0*

Great playability thanks! Loving the color button!

### 5/5 — It's these things that make the iPad so great!!

*2015-07-25, version 1.0*

Wow....no latency incredible sounds...multi touch...I mean come on!!!
And did I mention free?

### 5/5 — Practice handpan!

*2015-07-25, version 1.0*

This is an awesome free app to give you the feeling of what it's like to play the handpan. Not the same, but you can at least begin to hear practice rhythms and get the sense of the structure, for when the time comes that you have one of your own! Thanks for this app!

### 5/5 — Hang

*2015-07-21, version 1.0*

Best of free

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Didn’t work on my phone

*2018-08-01, version 1.2(1.3)*

Didn’t work on my iPhone 7. No sound

### 1/5 — Didn’t work on iPhone X

*2018-03-12, version 1.2(1.3)*

Didn’t work on iPhone X - no sound.

### 1/5 — No sound

*2017-06-03, version 1.2(1.3)*

No sounds at all

### 3/5 — Wrong key

*2022-07-08, version 1.2(1.3)*

This seems to be a really cool app. I was hoping to conveniently tap around a few melodies that I could bring back to my instrument. But my drum is in D flat, so the notes don’t line up.

### 3/5 — Realistic Sound

*2020-01-04, version 1.2(1.3)*

Sounds good, but needs to fix the click when a note/sample is triggered twice in succession.

### 3/5 — Nice but

*2017-09-24, version 1.2(1.3)*

When first installed its great. Then, just doesn't work. Every time I try to use it I have to uninstall and download again.

### 3/5 — Usable in a pinch.

*2016-06-26, version 1.2(1.3)*

Having a hand pan app is an awesome thing however in this case the recommendation to wear headphones sets one up for a disappointment with the digital click with each touch. There is also a minute latency when playing, I would guess between 5-7 milliseconds, but just enough to hamper ones enjoyment. I have owned a couple hand pans, first a Halo, and now a harmonic and when not around my pan, I would prefer playing nothing over the instrument. I don't care at all if the background changes color(that's kind of silly), but what would be awesome and incredibly useful is if the user could change keys/pan turnings. It is a free app so I would say download it, but just don't get your hopes up that it is in any way a substitution, or honestly much more than a novelty.

### 4/5 — Nice After I took my phone off of silent mode

*2021-10-24, version 1.2(1.3)*

At first I gave this a one star review because I did not hear any sound. Only to find out that my phone was on silent mode that little hidden button on the left-hand side of your iPhone. Make sure it is not in silent mode.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2021-09-20, version 1.2(1.3)*

I didn’t hear anything at first, like it wasn’t working. But then I closed out of the app a few times and opened it, and put it headphones, it finally started making sound. So yeah it’s good if you might want to get a Handpan and just want to play around with one and get to know how they work. So then if you DO find yourself in the presence of a real one, you won’t be totally lost. The notes help too.

### 4/5 — Simple and fun for a quick play

*2020-12-05, version 1.2(1.3)*

I’m not here to write handspan songs, so I think for wha it is it’s great and my 2 year old son likes it too. Kind of which you could have alternate tunings but that’s fine. The color changing feature for very time you tap it is nifty but very overwhelming when you play fast or my son spams the screen. Otherwise I love the sound and the ease of playing.

### 5/5 — Enjoyable

*2018-07-10, version 1.2(1.3)*

I really enjoy using this app. I think the developers did a great job. Remember this is an app. Not a real hand pan. Thank you for doing this favor for everyone. It’s greatly appreciated by me. I have lots of fun.

### 5/5 — Works great for me

*2017-12-07, version 1.2(1.3)*

I'm not much of a drummer. This instrument is pretty sweet. No matter what I tap it sounds like music to my ears. It's calming and therapeutic. Thanks Jacob I appreciate the app. 👍🏼

### 5/5 — Most realistic sound
