## What is Handsfree Voice Coding?

Handsfree turns your iPhone into a voice and text client for the coding agent on your computer. Talk to Claude Code or Codex, hear its replies, approve its actions, and keep your projects moving — hands-free, from anywhere. The voice is unlimited — no usage caps, and it's transcribed entirely on your device.

Your agent runs where it always has: on your own machine. Handsfree connects to a small open-source "bridge" you run on your computer (over your Wi-Fi or Tailscale), so your code and conversations stay yours — nothing passes through our servers.

CODE WITH YOUR VOICE
Turn on voice mode and just talk. Handsfree transcribes your speech on-device and reads replies back to you, so you can steer a coding session while you're away from the desk, on a walk, or making coffee.

STAY IN CONTROL
Your agent asks before it acts. Approve, deny, or allow-for-the-session right from your phone — and answer the questions it raises along the way.

GETTING STARTED
1. Install the bridge on your computer: npx handsfree-bridge
2. Put your phone and computer on the same network (or use Tailscale).
3. Scan the QR code the bridge shows. That's it.

Handsfree is free. An optional tip supports development.
