I have a subscription, it expires in October. Long Thread Media says I need to work it out with Apple. Apple says it’s the developer issue. Cannot delete and reinstall, will lose all of my accumulated content for the past 5 years. Someone needs to fix this. ### 2/5 — Used to be fine but not now *2024-02-09, version 1.3.2* Bookmarks have disappeared. I was told this would be fixed at the next update but nothing so far. V difficult to find favourites now and the search function is useless. The only problem is though they promise full access to older issues, the patterns cannot be printed out, leaving me to have my iPad open for long periods of time as I sit at my loom. ### 4/5 — App won’t open! *2026-08-12, version 2.0.3* I’ve had this app on my iPad for years now, but, it will no longer open for me! I still get it on my computer, but that’s not portable so it makes it very inconvenient. I had high hopes for this feature, because the bookmark photos on the website version are too impossibly small to see. ### 4/5 — Great resource, needs search sophistication *2024-05-12, version 1.3.5* It’s wonderful to have access to back issues of Handwoven in app form. The articles are very readable here, and there’s better nuance in bookmarking articles and projects than on the browser app. I wish, though, that the search feature had more nuance to it, and that it could both filter and pick up on more text than just article titles and topics. It seems unsuccessful at searching by designer name (a search for “Lucienne Coifman” yields only an editorial in which she’s mentioned, not her designs), by yarn type (the first hit for “10/2 Cotton” is a feature on 5/2 Stonewashed cotton), or by loom type (the first hit for “8-shaft” is a feature on “Clasped Warp on 4 Shafts). If I’m trying to remember something like “where was that issue where I saw that twill gamp blanket?” I’m not going to be able to use the search to find it. ### 4/5 — Has a few bugs *2020-10-30, version 1.1.0* Love the access to all the editions of the magazine but the search feature doesn’t work ### 5/5 — What joy *2023-09-21, version 1.3.2* I am rather new to weaving. I found this magazine at a site I bought my table top loom at. I was in love with the first Handwoven magazine I received. I decided to get a subscription. What a total joy it is!!!!! I have been reading the issues from the first release and have already learned things that will help me become a better weaver. Thank you offer the opportunity to read this magazine from its inception to current. Unfortunately, I have to take a realistic view and pick just one. I love holding the actual magazine in my hand but this allows me to go back to older issues. ### 5/5 — I love my digital Handwoven subscription! *2020-08-11, version 1.1.0* Handwoven has been a big part of my life since I started weaving in 2008. I had a huge bin of the magazines, but it was cumbersome to store and delve into. Now that the subscription includes access to the previous issues, I am in heaven. It is a joy to go back through earlier issues to read the wonderful articles that I might or might not have taken the time to read when each issue arrived. When I see the reference to such and such article/project published in the May/June 2002 issue, I can find it instantly. Projects that didn’t always meet my taste or style earlier might be just the ticket as I look at them with fresh eyes. The digital subscription is giving me great pleasure!
