It works in iOS 16, and is absolutely worth the price for me. Without a split keyboard, an iPad Pro 12.9" would be nearly useless for my purposes. For me Handy is much better than the only other good alternative, Banana Split. The advantages of Handy are that (a) you can shift the keyboard up, allowing you to hold up the iPad with your other fingers, and (b) the keys are small and close to the edge of the screen. Larger keys could be easier to type on, in theory, but the result is that the inner keys are far from the edge of the screen, causing errors because my thumbs have to stretch too far to reach the inner keys. I don't have problems with Handy's small keys. My one complaint is that the little globe button for switching keyboards is in the center where you can't reach it easily while typing. (I often have to switch keyboards momentarily to type a Greek letter.) It would be nice if the space where there are no keys were transparent, but this seems to be a problem with the options that Apple allows developers, and I don't mind, most of the time, if the part of the screen below where I am typing is covered up. (UPDATE: I tried to use the Handy Keyboard on a recent iPad mini, and it didn't work, but the HK would more or less duplicate functionality that the built-in Apple keyboards already provide on the Mini. Where I need what the HK provides is on my 6th gen iPad Pro 12.9", and it's great there. I haven't tried HK on any other iPads other than the Mini.) ### 4/5 — Helps With 12.9" *2018-01-11, version 0.1.2* Surprised this isn't a standard Apple thing on the 12.9. Helps a lot. My only gripes are the auto correct isn't nearly as good. I wish the keys would give some feedback that they were touched. It would also be nice if you could increase the distance or size of the keys. The error rate is a bit high for me. Still a lot more comfortable than the standard mode on a 12.9 ipad in portrait. ### 4/5 — Very useful *2017-08-07, version 0.1.2* I love this keyboard because Apple removed the option of split the keyboard in two in the Ipad 12.9. I use the ipad lying on the bed and it is impossible to type in the conventional keyboard. However, it has things to improve such as there are times that automatically put the keyboard of Apple instead of this or that you can not have a corrector for the Spanish language.Also I wish to had an appearance more compacted like Apple. I love it. Just wish there was a way for it to actually split the keyboard so I could see the content in the middle of the screen. Not sure if this an iOS limitation (most likely), but even if the background of the keyboard were translucent, it would make it even better. The lack of this feature is what took off the 5th star. A little too hard to consistently hit the right keys, especially when in landscape mode on a 12.9 “ iPad. Would be a lot more useful to be able to scale the keyboard up by about 50% or more an ad the number keys back in. ### 2/5 — With iOS 13, only option *2019-10-11, version 0.1.2* This seems to be the only way to get a split keyboard now with iOS 13. I’d rather have this keyboard than not. That said it’s only so so. The auto correct is not good compared to the regular keyboard. Too early to tell, but I may end up liking swipe better. At .99 this would be a no brainier.
