### 3/5 — Missing options

*2025-03-16*

When choosing the hook method, I’m not allowed to indicate that the frame uses two hooks rather than just one.

Additionally, I’m wanting to hang a cluster of pieces of artwork on the same wall that are different sizes. I’m not allowed to indicate my desired arrangement and have it calculate the different spacing. Fundamentally, I like the concept of such an app, but it doesn’t seem to have been updated in a long time, nor does it support multirow cluster designs with different numbers of images on each row.

### 3/5 — Not enough pictures

*2023-10-11*

Looks like just what I needed but the app is limited to 5 pictures wide.

### 3/5 — Glaring omission

*2022-02-19, version 2.52.0*

App has no option for hanging two different-size pieces side by side.

### 2/5 — Not a good app

*2021-08-28*

This app cost way to much and it doesn’t even have that many functions. It should be able to add multiple rows so you can do a grid pattern. Would definitely like my money back.

### 2/5 — Lacked functionality I needed

*2021-03-16*

This app is great in theory, but it doesn’t offer the option of hanging two frames of different widths. I also wasn’t able to input a width with a fraction, which was necessary for precise measurements.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy, not user friendly

*2020-11-19*

After placing all my measurements for five frames, I checked the settings to see what other options existed and all my work disappeared. I need to find the free version of a similar app that showed me what it looked like on the wall.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2020-09-14, version 2.50*

Absolute waste of money. Don’t bother downloading this.

### 1/5 — No height calculator

*2020-09-02, version 2.50*

No height calculator. It’s the most important part of hanging a picture. This app is trash.

### 1/5 — Do not waste your time

*2020-09-01, version 2.50*

Useless app.

### 1/5 — Pretty Useless

*2020-08-11*

You can’t even use it to hang one single frame and calculate the vertical measurement. Just horizontal. I was hoping it would have a feature to also calculate for the difference between the wire and the top of the frame. It’s a basic xcel calculation the wouldn’t take the developer much longer to add that it. Pretty lazy on their part.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review. Hang-a-Pic calculates the spacing of pictures for you horizontally. The height you wish to hang pictures is your particular visual preference. Some prefer staggering the height of each picture, some prefer hanging them all the same height.

When hanging the same height, you would simply use a level to mark the spots given by the Hang-a-Pic. For example, do want them at eye-level? Higher up on very tall ceilings? High up above the kitchen cabinets, etc. That is your preference. We're not sure a 1-star rating is fair considering the height of the pictures is completely up to you.

### 1/5 — Terrible - pointless and awful

*2020-07-21, version 2.50*

Terrible app. Do not waste your money

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-07-17, version 2.50*

Don’t see what the point is of this app. I was looking for an app to help me make a gallery wall with lots of different size frames, this definitely is not it. All it does is tell you where to hang photos in a line across. Not worth the money at all, wish I could return this somehow!

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2020-07-07*

Would like to have the option to select 2 pictures of two different sizes but that function doesn’t seem to be available in this app. Wish I had known that before wasting the $3+ on this app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review meljr4119. We're sorry the option for 2 different width pictures is not supported. However, in the Advanced options, you *can* have different width pictures.

### 1/5 — Wasted time and money.

*2019-12-05, version 2.40.2*

Pretty useless still. Can’t have different sized frames in a line. They must be the same size for the app to work.

### 1/5 — Appalling

*2019-09-14*

On an iPad Pro 2019 there is a solid black bar across the middle of the screen. App badly needs an update. Emailing your measurements to yourself sends a text template, but not the measurements, so you need to write measurements down manually. Paper is required! So what’s the point of this? Used for less than 5 minutes. Refund me please.

**Developer response:** Timbee, sorry you are experiencing this issue on the iPad Pro. This is the first we are hearing of this issue. Can you please send us a screenshot so we can fix this ASAP?

EDIT: This bug was squashed. Please give Hang-a-Pic another go and let us know if we can do anything else to help make the app better. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Only works with whole numbers

*2019-09-02, version 2.31*

If you have pictures that measure in decimals, 12.5, 16.375, etc., it doesn’t calculate. I tried this several times and it still didn’t work. Waste of time and money.
DO NOT PURCHASE!

### 1/5 — Don’t download bugs!!!

*2019-04-14, version 2.31*

So buggy and didn’t work for me. Time to go back to the 80s

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of time & money

*2023-05-28, version 2.52.1*

I feel a bit stolen with 3,99$ app…. Honestly it might have take few hours maximum to develop this crappy app.
DO NOT USE THIS

### 1/5 — Don’t Download

*2023-04-30, version 2.52.1*

This app doesn’t work. Just gives error messages for measurements in metric. Complete waste of money. I’ll be trying to get a refund!

### 1/5 — Totally pointless

*2023-01-22, version 2.52.1*

Honestly useless

### 1/5 — Complete scam!!!

*2022-11-22, version 2.52.1*

You could do the math your self. No help at all

### 1/5 — Doesn’t allow fractions

*2022-09-07*

This would be a decent app if it allowed any level of fractions. Even a single decimal point would be a massive improvement. If you’re satisfied with 1” accuracy then this is the app for you

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money.

*2022-06-20, version 2.52.1*

Great concept if it worked. Don’t waste your time or effort. Unless you like throwing away $2.99!

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2021-09-20, version 2.51*

Paid for an app that does not work. The basics on the app is completely broken, did not even get to a point to try and se functionality.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-09-13, version 2.51*

This will not help you do your project.

### 1/5 — This App will not create gallery wall with art that is different widths and lengths.

*2021-05-15, version 2.51*

Waste of money.

### 1/5 — App only hangs in a straight line

*2021-04-07*

I thought this app was going to allow me to enter the sizes and how many frames you have and then it would arrange them. This app will only allow you to hangs pictures or art in straight lines. Not what I was looking for.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth it for one job

*2020-07-20*

I’m hanging 3 very large, expensive mirrors along a 19’ wall. They must have equal spacing, and this app gave me the calculations instantly, and after measuring the center points by hand, they planned out to be perfect. I wish the vertical was an option as well, but this app is well worth the cost considering what my time is worth

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review Eichler34. We're glad Hang-a-Pic made it super easy for you! :)

### 5/5 — Worked Great

*2020-01-26*

I’ve now used this app to put up several pictures around my house. Everything lined up perfectly and it didn’t take me long to do. A laser level and a measuring tape was all the tools I needed. Definitely an app I’ll share with friends.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the great review, Jbcub81. Glad it saved you a lot of time!

### 5/5 — Quickly determine how far apart to hang pictures

*2016-06-12*

If you want to evenly space a given number of pictures on a wall of a given length this app is amazing. Saves me a ton of time and end result is excellent.

### 5/5 — Handy tool

*2014-03-30*

Easy to use, accurate

### 5/5 — Love it

*2012-11-11*

It's perfect for my picture hanging needs! Works great and has great graphic design! Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2012-02-20*

Not sure if a couple of reviewers were on track her but this app worked out PERFECTLY for us. We hand to hang a series of fancy plates across our kitchen wall and this was a big time saver. Kudos to the developer. Thanks. By the way... we spent more for the hanging clips than we did for this. :)

### 5/5 — Extremely handy little App!

*2010-11-10*

Very neat the way this app works. Just walks you thru the process of hanging evenly spaced items on the wall. Really simple and already saved me a lot of time hanging plates across the kitchen wall for my wife. The measurements it provided were dead on and I didn't have to figure anything out.

The only thing I would like to see is an option for emailing or printing the results for reference. Not critical but would be nice to have. Overall, great app and well done!

### 4/5 — Quick

*2019-12-04, version 2.40.2*

Works quick and is simple to use.

### 4/5 — Good App for what I needed. Don’t listen to the bad reviews

*2018-05-12*

5 different frame widths, on an odd wall. I hung them all up in a few minutes. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is due to not having a function for a grid like hanging. 5x1 for example was perfect, but say i have multiple rows of frames (5x3).

A measurement for equal distribution of each nail at the exact height and width to each frame, and distributed equally on a wall.... Now that would make a great app in the future.

### 4/5 — Huge time saver!

*2014-12-24, version 1.3*

I just installed @40 framed photographs for an
assisted living center and this app saved me quite a bit of time and brain power! I was using security hangers and I was able to quickly find the measurements for the two brackets just by measuring the distance between the brackets and the wall width. It also made hanging multiple pieces on one wall a breeze.
A couple of suggestions- it would be really helpful to have a text/notes box to enter the vertical measurement into so that I don't have to try and remember that measurement while I am figuring horizontal measurements. Also, having a built in level in the top or bottom of the app so once the art is hung I could place my device on the top of the frame and check if it is level.
Thanks for making this app!
