HOWY went light — and got a lot faster.

• A warm, bright new look from the first screen to the last. Easier to read, easier to move through, and a lot more like the app HOWY was always trying to be.
• Opens about three times faster. Home is ready in a couple of seconds instead of watching a loading screen.
• Planning is three steps now: who's coming, when you're free, where you're going. That's the whole thing.
• Name your own spots. Type any address — a friend's house, the lake, the park with the good benches — give it a name and a photo, and plan from it any time. HOWY shows you exactly where it landed and how far it is from you before you save, so one typo can't send your crew to the wrong street.
• Close Friends, done right: a private starred list only you can see. Star someone and they get your exact free windows; everyone else sees which days work, never the hours.
• Say who can reach you, and mean it. Restrict quietly limits someone without telling them; Block actually blocks — invites, messages, reposts, all of it. Each one explains exactly what it does before you tap. Only friends can add you to a plan.
• Quiet hours: pick the window where HOWY never buzzes you, and it won't.
• Group votes work the way you'd expect — everyone gets told to vote, and the plan locks in the time people actually picked.
• Discover stays close to home. Spots an hour away don't show up as "nearby" anymore, and neither do they in your notifications.
• Places open around the clock no longer show up as closed.
• Wrap up a night and it sticks — your recap shows how long it ran and who was there.
• A dropped signal no longer kicks you back to the sign-in screen. Delete your account and it's really gone, photos and videos included.
• Better on iPad, plus dozens of fixes and polish everywhere.

planning a hang out is now one tap from Home.

Plan with your people, not a form. The top of Home is now your crew — every friend and circle, ordered by who you hang out with most, with a pinned + to make a new circle. Tap a face and HOWY walks you through it like a whiteboard: how long, which days actually work, then a visual time chart where capsules only appear when everyone is free (your own conflicts are excluded automatically, with your busy stretches shown so the gaps make sense). Pick the time, pick the spot, send it — the event is fully built, named, and out the door in one flow.

Smarter spot picking. The spot step has your favorites, category browsing, search — and a "For you" list suggesting places both you and the people you're inviting would like ("Ashley saved this," "their kind of spot"). Every result shows real photos now. Places that would be closed during your hang out are hidden, and partially-open ones get flagged — "closes 10 PM, before you wrap." Tap any spot to open its full profile (photos, hours, reviews, whether it's open for your window) and pick it right from there. The + button now offers Quick build (who → planner) or Detailed build (full composer).

Friend profiles got personal. "Hang outs together" is tappable and opens your shared history; in its place is a Memories Together grid — photos from hangs you were both at, with a full-screen viewer. Interest tags sit right under the name. Friends list rows open profiles, and you can unfriend from the tier chip with a confirmation. Squads are now circles, with member photos in the bubbles and easier create/edit from the You page.

Saved spots leveled up. Custom addresses can have photos, past events automatically drop off the Saved rail, and profiles have a browsable Saved Spots gallery.

Sharing invites is finally bulletproof. The garbage-text bug in iMessage is categorically fixed, there's a one-tap Text the invite button, and links unfurl with a branded preview card plus an App Store link for friends without the app.

Events respect the calendar. Past events lock into snapshots (chat and photos stay open, no more phantom "pending"). Cancelled or deleted plans disappear from your device calendar and day views, and photo reminders only go to people who actually went.

Fixes: profile stats no longer show zeros, mixed-shape photo carousels render without cropping, Who's Free works from a cold start, and "hang" became "hang out" everywhere.
