## What is Hangcraft?

Stop drilling extra holes. Hangcraft drops a glowing red AR target on your wall exactly where the nail should go.

Aim your iPhone at the wall, enter the frame size and the kind of hanger on its back, and Hangcraft does the layout math:

- Real ARKit pindrops that stay visually tied to the wall while you work
- Hanger-aware math for D-ring, sawtooth, wire, French cleat, keyhole, and nail-through-frame setups
- Plumb-snap alignment for cleaner vertical marks
- Eye-line guidance based on common 57-inch gallery placement
- Multi-frame layout with adjustable gaps and nail X/Y measurements
- Wall Diagram for a scaled view before drilling
- Pro Install Sheet with step-by-step marks, supply prompts, caution checks, and shareable notes
- Quick Hang mode for a single frame without setting up a full wall

Hangcraft is fully on-device. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no cloud sync, and no tracking.

Camera access is used only for live AR plane detection. Hangcraft is not a stud finder, wall scanner, or structural safety tool. Always verify wall material, hardware ratings, wiring, plumbing, and final level before drilling.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-01

LayoutStudio: Multi-frame layout, load paths, clearances, and install order.

Hangcraft 1.4 adds a Pro Install Sheet that turns each saved wall into a step-by-step measurement plan with nail marks, supply prompts, caution checks, and a richer share export. This update also refreshes App Store metadata and screenshots to match the current interface.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-06-24

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-23

Version 1.3 adds two tools that close the last two workflow gaps in a real hanging job:

Wall Diagram - a live, scaled visual plan of your layout, shown directly on the wall detail screen. Every frame rectangle is drawn at its computed position, nail cross-marks are shown in red exactly where you'll drill, and a dashed gold line marks the eye-level reference. No more translating a column of numbers into a mental picture while you're holding a tape measure - just look at the diagram.

Stud Spacing Reference - a new tool in the Tools tab. Enter one stud position (from a stud finder) and pick your wall's on-centre spacing (12, 16, or 24 inches). Hangcraft maps every stud across the entire wall span. Optionally enter any nail X position and the tool tells you instantly whether that nail hits solid wood or drywall - and recommends the Anchor Advisor when you need a hollow-wall anchor.
