## What is HangFlow?

HangFlow is a simple hangboard workout companion for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Build a hang workout on iPhone, run it on iPhone or Apple Watch, track each completed session in Calendar Archive, and export clean PDFs when you want a record of your training.

HangFlow is built for climbers who want a focused hangboard timer without accounts, subscriptions, clutter, or complicated training systems.

Features:
• Build custom hangboard workouts on iPhone
• Set countdown, hang time, recovery time, repeats, and extra recovery
• Track grip type, left/right hand finger setup, edge size, resistance band, and added weight
• Run workouts directly on iPhone
• Send workouts to Apple Watch
• Use Apple Watch as the workout runner
• Mirror Apple Watch workout timing on iPhone
• Save completed workouts to Calendar Archive
• View completed sessions by day and time
• Support multiple completed workouts on the same day
• Export workout template PDFs
• Export completed-session PDFs
• Export selected-day History PDFs
• Review completed session details after training

Calendar Archive:
Finished workouts are saved as completed sessions, not just generic workout templates. That means each session keeps its own date, time, source, setup, totals, and block details.

PDF Export:
Create clean records of saved workout templates, completed sessions, or a full selected training day.

Apple Watch:
Use Apple Watch as an optional workout runner. The iPhone app still works on its own.

Privacy:
HangFlow does not require an account. Your workout data stays on your device.

Important:
HangFlow records your hangboard setup and timing. It does not tell you what grip to use, how hard to train, or whether a workout is safe for you. Use grip positions and loads you already understand, progress gradually, and stop if something feels wrong.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-05-25

This update adds a more complete HangFlow workout history experience.

New:
• Calendar Archive with monthly workout markers
• Completed workout sessions saved by day and time
• Support for multiple sessions on the same day
• Completed-session detail screens with clearer workout summaries
• Selected-day PDF export from Calendar Archive
• Completed-session PDF export from History
• Improved History PDF layout and report styling
• Better grip setup visuals and finger label spacing
• Improved compact layout for smaller iPhones
• Cleaner Calendar Archive wording and PDF button labels

HangFlow now makes it easier to build a hang workout, run it on iPhone or Apple Watch, save what you actually completed, and export the result later.

### 1.0.6(1) — 2026-05-21

HangFlow now has a clearer grip and crimp setup system for hangboard workouts.

This update adds visual left/right hand grip checks, custom finger selection, preset grip types, cleaner iPhone workout running, Apple Watch workout support, iPhone mirroring for Watch sessions, resistance band tracking, added weight in kg, edge size in mm, repeat blocks, and improved PDF workout export.

The grip display now shows used fingers clearly in blue, with unused fingers tucked back as short gray knuckle markers, making the setup easier to check before a hang.

This update also includes layout and stability improvements across the workout builder, runtime screens, Watch flow, and exported workout PDFs.

### 1.0.4(2) — 2026-05-20

Adds printable PDF workout export.

You can now share, save, or print a HangFlow workout as a PDF from the workout detail screen.

Adds resistance band tracking so each workout can record whether a band was used and which band color was selected.

Adds added-weight tracking in kilograms for weighted hangs.

Improves saved workout detail screens so band setup, added weight, timing, steps, and workout load are easier to review before sending the workout to Apple Watch.
