## What is HanjiMap?

The fastest way to find Korean-owned businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

Clinics, restaurants, markets, salons, academies, insurance, real estate, auto shops, lawyers, churches — more than 3,600 Korean-owned businesses across Greater Seattle and Metro Vancouver, on a map and in a list. Search in Korean or English, sort by distance, and call or get directions in one tap.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-09-09

• Fixed Directions: choosing Apple Maps did nothing at all. It now opens the Maps app straight away, and if the app you pick is not installed, the next best map opens instead.
• Website and email buttons could do nothing when tapped. They now open inside the app, and when a link truly cannot be opened, the app says so instead of staying silent.
• When a newer version is out, a single line appears above the map. Dismiss it and it stays away until the version after that.
• Hide your street address: accountants, realtors, insurance agents, tutors and mobile trades who work from home can hide the street address instead of asking for the listing to be removed. Turn it on in Edit business info and the listing shows only the city ("Bellevue, WA") with the pin rounded to the neighbourhood. Calls, requests and search results are unaffected, and there is no charge.
• Fixed the claim form: the Send button could stay disabled no matter what you typed if your phone never returned a location. It now continues without one, and when the button is off it tells you which field is still missing.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-08

• The area follows your location — open the app back in Seattle after a Vancouver
  trip and nearby businesses load right away. If the selected area and the map
  disagree, one line says so with a one-tap switch.
  • Tapping a search result now moves the map to that business; with no results, one
  tap searches all areas.
  • Business names in your language first, the other name beneath.
  • The Real Estate category opens the Korean realtor directory, and a back button is
  always there on the real estate screens.
  • Owners: attach licence or registration photos when claiming (optional), enter the
  registration number for your region, re-upload when a document is requested, and
  complete the yearly re-verification in the app with your document.
  • Owners: a "Get your listing ready" checklist on your listing — hours, photos,
  description, first announcement, notifications.
  • Know a business's hours? Suggest them from its page when none are listed (reviewed
  before publishing).
  • Post a quote request straight from contractor, cleaning, moving and landscaping
  listings and get bids from several businesses.
  • New category: Immigration & Study Abroad.
  • Vancouver listings are included in the saved offline map.
  • The area picker on Android always shows Cancel, and text fields are readable in
  dark mode.
  • Support is now support@hanjimap.com. Stability improvements.
