I hope to and look forward to using this a lot, but doing so with the ongoing frustrating of constantly rebooting is ridiculous. The good news is that content returns, but that STILL doesn’t make up for the issue, especially if it continues long term. It is indeed a beautiful app and no other typewriter app out there is as beautiful as this one, but the developer has not updated in years so it keeps crashing. You can only type a few words in before it crashes on iOS 26. I can only give it three stars as I love this app but I could not recommend it to anyone with all the crashes. I am a typewriter lover and this allows me to use my clicky keyboard on my iPad. So I get double the clicky sounds. However it was a mess. When I choose the keyboard from within my messages app, it covers half the screen, barely showing the text feed. Toggle though my keyboards (Eng > German > Hanx Writer) and now the keyboard is at the very top hiding everything and no way to move it down. Quite disappointing, definitely a bug that should be looked into. Hopefully, I can get a refund. ### 4/5 — Very nostalgic *2026-05-03, version 1.2.2* I’ve been using this app to write all my poetry that once clogged my notes app - it’s beautiful and stylistic. I never had the intent to share with others, but just for myself. Love the authentic sounds and the look of it all. Wish they kept up with this with all the iOS updates… Only major complaint is you can resize the keyboard to fit your screen when using your phone, like the everyday keyboard. But after purchasing the type writer to use outside of the app like on messages, the type writer has a bug that will cover the whole screen with a large grey box on the bottom. It was only 99 cents but I’m just sad I can’t use the keyboard. I love a real typewriter, but in this day and age I also need the portability and added tech that my iPad gives me. It’s really disheartening .
