## What is Hanzi?

Hanzi is a drill for reading and writing Chinese characters. It shows one character at a time. You say whether you remembered it, and spaced repetition decides when you see it again.

WHAT IS INSIDE

- All 3,000 characters of the HSK 3.0 character lists, sorted into HSK 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7-9
- Pinyin with tone marks for every character, including second and third readings
- An English meaning for every character
- Stroke order for every character, drawn one stroke at a time with the stroke number
- Spaced repetition with six boxes; characters you miss come back in the same session
- Progress by level, and a day count you are free to ignore

There is no energy to run out and no streak to lose. Miss a day and nothing is taken away from you.

FREE AND PAID

Free gives you all 300 characters of HSK 1, with every feature including stroke order. One purchase unlocks HSK 2 through 7-9. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Character meanings are in English.

Stroke order comes from Make Me a Hanzi, derived from the fonts Arphic PL KaitiM GB and Arphic PL UKai, copyright Arphic Technology Co., Ltd., used under the Arphic Public License. Pinyin and English meanings come from the Unihan database, copyright Unicode, Inc., used under the Unicode License V3. HSK 3.0 level lists come from the character lists published by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 2021. The level lists are unofficial, and this app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the organisers of the HSK.
