Happenings shows you what's happening — concerts, club nights, student parties, food and drink deals, and local pages worth following. Browse the live feed, grab tickets, save deals to your wallet, and keep everything you've booked in one place.

This is a big one.

We have rebuilt large parts of the app so it feels faster and easier to live with, and there is plenty of new ground to cover.

Your communities now sit in one place, so everything you are part of is a tap away. Festivals have a proper map with the programme beside it, and you can share it with anyone. Buying is smoother from start to finish, including when something needs fixing along the way.

On top of that there are hundreds of smaller improvements across almost every screen, in every language we speak.

• MobilePay checkout works again — paying no longer gets stuck on a blank screen.
• Event pages open faster and scroll more smoothly, and no longer get clipped on smaller screens.
• Shared page and invitation links now open the right page every time.
• Sharper images that load quicker on mobile data.
• In "Near me" the event cards sit at the bottom of the map again, and your city’s crest shows when we locate you by GPS.

Your wallet, now on your wrist. The new Apple Watch app keeps your tickets and coupons a glance away — show the code at the door or at the bar.

Share what's happening straight into a conversation with the new iMessage app.

Identical coupons now stack into one card, member-only tickets show what a membership unlocks, and your cards list the perks that come with them.

Sign in on the web by scanning a QR code with the app. No password, no typing.

See a poster for an event? Scan the code and buy your ticket on the spot — even without the app.

Near me now opens where you are. The map centres on you and shows what's actually on nearby, instead of a general list.

Upgrading from the old Happenings app? You stay signed in.

We also only ask about notifications once you're holding a ticket — so it's about something you actually care about.
