## Newest reviews (5 of 24)

### 4/5 — Has potential to be useful

*2014-06-20, version 2.4*

Tags and UI could be improved.

### 4/5 — Good but needs work

*2014-01-17, version 2.4*

Excellent UI for prompting and collecting your momentary mood. Slightly awkward UI for tagging the reasons for your mood. Interesting visualization for reviewing aggregate data.

Not perfectly stable, but works well for casual use.

Despite its rough points, this app genuinely helped me learn things I didn't know about what makes me happy or sad. That is impressive, really.

### 4/5 — Love it!

*2013-05-08, version 2.3.2*

Great app! Really helps me to put my emotions in perspective!

### 4/5 — Interesting and useful tool

*2013-02-12, version 2.3.1*

I find this to be a very interesting app. If nothing else, it's a good reminder to do some mindfulness meditation every day. The analytics are interesting, but with the limited data I have so far not terribly insightful yet (I've been using the app for about a month now). I'm curious to see what emerge as I continue to use the app.

### 4/5 — Neat tool

*2013-01-24, version 2.3.1*

I find this app interesting. I don't really use the analytics, but I find myself more aware of how I feel. And that's neat.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App crashed and lost all my data

*2016-05-22, version 2.4.2*

App crashed and lost all my data. This was over the last two weeks of data. I am extremely disappointed and discourage using this app unless you like seeing your weeks of recording disappear. Thanks for screwing up.

### 1/5 — Great app idea but very buggy

*2014-07-01, version 2.4.1*

The buttons at bottom are often frozen, making it unusable, it crashed several times and it somehow deleted all my entries for several days. It's a great idea, but very poorly executed.

### 1/5 — Broken?

*2013-06-24, version 2.3.3*

I set my passcode. I leave the app. I log back in. First time I get in ok. I leave again. Now I'm asked to enter passcode but app gives me to numbers to enter it so I'm locked out. I've uninstalled it three times and till happening. Buggy?.?

### 1/5 — Nope!

*2013-04-12, version 2.3.2*

This app only rates happiness on a scale from 1-10. What about the other moods? For an app that costs so much they should have added that in.

### 2/5 — Great idea but unreliable

*2013-11-13, version 2.4*

Used this app for a week and then it deleted that week's worth of info. Giving it another shot but a lot of weird numbers pop up (somehow I have over 200 recorded entries?) and it quits and freezes all the time.

### 2/5 — Nice UI improvements but less capable

*2012-03-14, version 2.0*

TL;DR: new UI pretty but less functional.

This "2.0" version of Happiness is pleasing to the eye. However, the Analysis capability is generally less capable than the old version. Also, the Analysis screen is somewhat confusing as it now encompasses three different screens that I can left/right drag to.

The "journal" feature is good but:
(1) let me distinguish between tags and free text on the journal entry.
(2) I should be able to edit a journal entry after the fact.

### 3/5 — Fun but buggy

*2017-10-06, version 2.4.2*

The UI is simple and fun to use. The tagging system is very nice.

The option to sync data to iCloud says "this is not yet 100% reliable", but it should say "trying to use iCloud will cause the app to crash and lose ALL of your data".

### 3/5 — Okay but not great

*2014-01-05, version 2.4*

The app works as advertised, but the home screen continuously misreports the number of positive and negative entries. App is simple but stable.

### 3/5 — Good but frequent

*2012-07-16, version 2.2*

Overall I really like this app and find the stats useful. I'd swear there's a bug making it alert multiple times per day though. I have more entries than days and it's getting worse.

### 4/5 — Useful, But

*2017-03-10, version 2.4.2*

I like the GPS tracker, the ability to export entries, and the tagging system. Being able to add pictures would be really great, and having customizable activities/feelings to automatically attach instead of writing them out would also be awesome.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A Critical and useful part of my daily life.

*2016-02-08, version 2.4.2*

I adopted this app as a core component of my self-quantification and improvement effort. It has proven incredibly valuable in helping me analyze patterns and manage my approach to stress and increasing happiness.

### 5/5 — Beautiful app. User friendly

*2016-01-25, version 2.4.2*

It is simple to use and fits the purpose of tracking and giving inside in my happiness or better said, unhappiness reasons over the long term. Graphics overview are very useful.

### 5/5 — Great app, better support

*2014-09-18, version 2.4.2*

I've been using this app for a while now. Occasionally an upgrade to iOS or the app itself caused annoying bugs. But, the developer was always wicked-fast to respond directly to questions or concerns and provided direct updates to make Happiness run like butter! Worth the price! Let's me see at a glance the things I didn't realize were triggers for a better day!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-07-24, version 2.3.3*

I really like the simplicity of the UI and the one question, which you can define in the journal pages. The tag feature is handy in tracking cause. I've tried several apps that are similar, and this one I use.

### 5/5 — Thank You

*2013-07-11, version 2.3.3*

With this app and your help guide I was able to see what has been bothering me for the last three years now. With my choices plainly visible to me I was able to see that the root of my problems was unhappy thinking, and now, as cheesy as this sounds I want to thank you, because though as unbelievable as this sounds, over the span of 44 hours not even two days, my problems for the past two years have been solved (perhaps even further back in my life) and so I want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, for helping me to solve them. Now I've realized that the only one who decides if I wanted to do something or not is me, because all these years I have the power to do so. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Great way to reflect

*2013-05-30, version 2.3.2*

If you're at all into self reflection and personal data this might be a neat app to try.

I like the simple question of "how happy am I?"

### 5/5 — Great app for quick thoughts

*2013-05-03, version 2.3.2*

This app is a good way to put together reasons for given moods at times throughout the day.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2013-04-14, version 2.3.2*

5 star and highly recommended if you've always wanted to write in a diary yet do not travel with one.

### 5/5 — Happiness

*2013-04-08, version 2.3.2*

Awesome app!!!
