If only we could do 0 stars ### 1/5 — This isn’t a serious banking institution. *2026-07-31, version 1.6.0* I’ll begin by saying Happy State bank is phenomenal when interacting in person, however, the entire IT department needs to be overhauled. The app is extraordinarily glitchy and prevents you from changing basic information in your account. ### 1/5 — I hate this app *2026-07-27, version 1.5.4* I literally have no access to my account. It won’t read my face and even after I change my password, it STILL doesn’t let me into my account. I can’t check how much money I have in my account. Hard to get all your accounts added to see at one time. Even if you go to the bank to get something tweaked, it won’t go through til the next business day, if it does then even. You clowns bought my hometown bank and ruined everything. Including the app. Start over. ### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve ever used *2026-08-18, version 1.6.0* Face ID does not ever work for me. My correct password does not ever work either. I can log in fine on the web version, but on the app it always says password incorrect. For the rare times my password and/or Face ID works, it makes me answer the security questions. It just feels worse in every way than the old app, which even then was clunky. ### 1/5 — Check deposit feature malfunctions *2026-08-18, version 1.6.0* Not only does the camera setting not work correctly to deposit a check, but the location feature isn’t working; making it difficult to find my nearest location to physically deposit the check! Typically that fixes the issue but this time still no luck. I have to delete the app periodically to get it to work. When I’ve had to call about an issue I’m just put on a callback list, which I never receive. I never had issues on the previous app compared to this one. Security questions every login, can’t login with face, can’t login with password, error, error, error. Need to get on top of this before I switch banks. I choose the account I want it taken from to which account I want it in, enter the amount. It then asks me to approve the transfer and when I do, it loads, says approved, hit okay and then my accounts still look the same with no money changes added or subtracted from accounts. I’ve even went as far as to wait 24hrs to see if it’s transferred but just not on the system yet and nope still no changes to the accounts the next day. The only reason I have the app is because of my busy work schedule that I don’t have time to go to the bank in person to do transfers. ### 2/5 — Please fix your mobile deposit camera *2026-06-17, version 1.5.3* The new app has quite a few issues, a big one with the UI is mobile deposits snap into this awkward vertical hold while boxing you into a horizontal picture. Essentially you have to navigate the camera in the opposite directions your intuition tells you to just to take a picture of a check. And at the end of the day the check is less tangible on the backend for the person processing the payments. Bad all around, this should be a reputable bank with a smooth functioning app. Considering switching banks for this alone since we live in a digital age. ### 2/5 — Depositing Checks - Stupid New Camera *2026-05-29, version 1.5.1* What the heck is going on with the camera now when depositing a check? It’s literally impossible to line it up now and moving the camera up moves it to the side??
