This game will turn your phone into a portable heater. Major battery life drain as well. In regards to gameplay, the bots are quite dumb at even the hardest level. When I pay for characters, I expect to be able to get characters that represent me. When trying to adjust the character skin tone, for women specifically, the color is not consistent across the body. Beyond the aesthetics, the robots need a major change. It seems like they only focus on not getting a bag and will celebrate not getting a bag even after losing. There should be an option to remove the bag count anyway to be more like real life spades. ### 1/5 — Sucks *2026-01-01, version 2.0.630* This game will allow people to harass you and follow you in every game. They have an elite group they protect and the rest of them they silence and put in time out. Don’t know whose idea it was but my vote is they should be fired. I played this game a minimum of an hour or 2 everyday. No more. I deleted my game copy. Games go WAY too fast now. No fun anymore. I could play to 1550 points per game and it took some time. Now I’m finished with a game in 5 minutes. Too many other spades games out there to play yours anymore. Been great knowing ya. I’ll be back in a nano second. **Developer response:** Waffles, we sill have 1550 points games as the max. you might need to scroll the list. if its getting cut off. ### 1/5 — Weird owner *2025-02-23* The owner of the site will create random nics (you know bc the nic will have many games played and you will have never seen the nic before) he will then join games and program cards for him to win in very obvious card distribution. Shameful behavior and is a fraudulent business practice. Most people that play there think that games are fair but some know this practice and continue to play anyway and avoid the nics they haven’t seen before. May the cards be in your favor lol **Developer response:** While we appreciate the "undercover boss" theory, I can promise you I don't have the time (or the secret aliases) to join games and rig the deck! We occasionally see players claiming to be the owner as a prank, but I assure you that is never the case. The cards are dealt randomly by the game’s engine, and I have no control over who gets which hand once the game starts. Sometimes the cards just don't fall your way, but that’s the nature of Spades, and it is what makes it exciting. The characters are great and the gameplay skills of your opponents, overall are very good. The only issues I’ve found are that the three other players don’t adapt a refined strategy when you are nearing 500 and when you are bidding nil, your partner will sometimes pass a pair of low Spades, as if they are unaware that they are trump. I’m reticent to point these out as the overall game is excellent and I will continue to subscribe yearly.
