### 5/5 — Simple and Clean

*2024-03-09*

No bloat or needless features. Just good workout app.

### 4/5 — Apple Watch Support would be amazing

*2024-02-09, version 1.0.113*

!

### 5/5 — So much value!

*2023-12-20*

Love the app and its UI, feels very modern. It’s designed very well. I just wish it kept track of the weight you lift in all exercises such as accessories!
It’s a bit of a hassle having to go back to previous workouts in the calendar just to see what weight I was at so far.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Workout App

*2023-12-13*

This app has been a game changer for me. There are so many options and the ability to browse workout splits has been eye opening to see what’s out there. The deva have been very open to feedback and are constantly improving the app experience. Small things like the recent addition of the workout timer notification is something I’ve really appreciated and I plan on supporting and using this app well into the future! The dev roadmap on the site gives me a lot to look forward to!

### 5/5 — This app is almost perfect

*2023-11-26*

Would be nice to be able to rate and review user made workouts

### 5/5 — Perfect App

*2023-10-08, version 1.0.68*

Perfect app for quality workout programs. Spent ages after swapping to IOS trying to find an app that doesn’t charge you a small fortune just for generic basic HIIT workouts.
This app provides high quality powerlifting and bodybuilding programs created by some of the most knowledgeable.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-09-08*

Such a great app revolving around the Reddit community

It had such great growth potential!!! Still fantastic

### 4/5 — Ivysaur Beginner 4-4-8

*2023-08-17, version 1.0.59*

There is a mistake in ivysaur’s routine. It shouldn’t be the same weight in day 1 and 2. 8 rep weight = 90% of 4 rep weight. Now it is not calculated correctly.

### 5/5 — Great app, here’s a few suggestions

*2023-07-02*

The app works really well and the ability to customize routines and setup progressive overload is unmatched in any other free app I’ve seen.

Here are a few suggestions though that would improve the user experience:

1. Add the ability to preview (name, weight, reps) the next exercise in the workout when you’re on the last set of an exercise.

2. Add the ability to to directly into the next exercise instead of having to confirm you’re done and then selecting the next. Perhaps the option to add a new set can be added to the rest period after the last set instead.

3. As others have pointed out, add the ability to have more granularity in the weights. Some machines have small increments such as 1.25lbs or 2.5lbs. Some machines have no standard increments like 1.4lbs etc.

4. Add notifications and/or sounds for the end of a rest period. This way the app doesn’t have to be watched while resting.

5. Make the button after the rest period to “continue” either larger or easier to click.

6. Not a huge deal, but a dark mode toggle would be great.

### 5/5 — I don’t write reviews but -

*2023-06-21*

This is the best workout logging app currently on the market and it is free. 100% free.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Amazing app but so easy to delete routine

*2023-12-30*

Accidentally deleted my routine and all my history is gone 😭like s seriously?? Atleast provide a way to recover back!!

**Developer response:** Please Contact us on support and we'll recover it for you, no problem. Send us your username or email to our email hello@hardy.app, in Instagram DM-s @hardy.app, or on our Reddit subreddit.

### 2/5 — Is this app still alive?

*2025-01-22, version 1.0.133*

Is this app going to be developed further? There has been little news from the developers for months

### 2/5 — Had potential but they gave up

*2024-05-23*

Slow updates, didn’t fix any of the bugs or issues and now they’ve stopped posting updates on Reddit. Go with a different app

### 2/5 — Great app with a VERY annoying problem

*2023-11-04, version 1.0.113*

Awesome app. Really enjoying it. But the most annoying thing happens. Whenever the rest timer goes off, after I choose ‘continue’, as soon as I hit the power button to dim my screen and put it down for the next exercise my background music or podcast stops! Happens every single time and is sooooo annoying. You’d get 5 stars otherwise.

### 2/5 — A work in progress

*2023-06-12, version 1.0.58*

This app is promising, however no warm up sets, dropsets nor dark mode features added yet. Would switch in a heartbeat once these are integrated!

### 3/5 — Please add option to hide popular routines

*2025-09-13*

This is a solid app, but I don’t know why once I select a routine my home page is still cluttered by half a dozen popular routines?

Please add a way to hide these from my home page.

99% of the time I just want to open my already selected routine, when I’m between sets and lifting heavy all the extra options just clutter the home page.

1% of the time, when I’m not lifting and managing the app outside the gym, i like the extra options, but I’m doing this in a relaxed environment and can navigate the app easily. Thus having these all cluttered right on the home page doesn’t provide value. When I’m looking for more routines I’m going to look through them methodically and actively anyways.

Who’s just clicking served popular routines on a whim except new users?

### 3/5 — Promising

*2024-10-19, version 1.0.133*

Waiting on dark mode and few other ui tweaks. Holding out hope that devs will push out updates for iOS 18!

### 3/5 — Very good but Essentials still not there

*2024-05-08, version 1.0.133*

The whole concept looks outstanding but to me it’s unusable until Supersets are enabled. The only other addition I would love is a way to substitute some lifts in essentially the same routine. Say dumbbell curls instead of ez curls or Romanian Deadlifts instead of Deadlifts and continue with the same routine. And on another day return to the previous lifts without too much adjustment.

Keep up the good work though. There are lot of apps with fancy pictures and useless bells and whistles but there is not yet a simple functional app of this kind out there.

### 4/5 — Best/Simplest Weightlifting App

*2025-08-27*

This app has been really good to me, I have had not serious problems, everything is really easy to do. Although, the only issue is that the calendar bugs sometimes with previous weight and disappears.

### 4/5 — Promising app to keep an eye on!

*2025-04-21, version 1.0.139*

Just waiting on dark mode and a few other ui tweaks but this app hits the mark with what I need for the gym

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-05-10*

Signed up a long time ago and it’s a great, simple app for those who know what they want. I set my own programs but the existing ones were great as well.

### 5/5 — Reliable gym app

*2025-12-28, version 1.0.175*

Looking forward to seeing new features added from the roadmap!

### 5/5 — Great but!

*2025-12-22*

Great app but need dark mode and a way to keep notes per exercise per workout!

### 5/5 — Amazing Workout App

*2025-10-21*

I absolutely love using this app, there’s so many options and other public workout routines that I wouldn’t think of, many of my exercises and workout plans are entirely improvised from other routines. i absolutely love the mapping of the app especially with being able to split workout sessions in one workout routine and still be able to keep track of what session i did using the calendar. It’s efficient and effective than having to write down how many sets and reps in a note app. I wish more people knew about this app since it’s been a lifesaver to me in the last 2 years, absolutely recommend to anyone who keeps track of their exercises.

### 5/5 — All my buddies use this

*2025-10-15, version 1.0.157*

I asked my friend “yo how did you get so buff?” And he told me this app was the key. So I’ve been using it too and it is very good

### 5/5 — The best fitness all ever

*2025-09-21, version 1.0.157*

It’s simple. That’s the best part about this app. Clean and simple. You get all you need for your workouts, you can share workouts, find programs from community, create your own program, etc. And it’s super simple and direct. No weird menus or forcing you to pay for premium or tricking you or whatever. Just a great workout app. 10/10

### 5/5 — Best

*2025-02-11, version 1.0.135*

Best workout tracker that allows to track workouts in a more advanced way. Very aesthetically pleasing. And it’s free 🤯

### 5/5 — Some suggestions

*2024-05-26*

Please add a muscle heat map, and the ability to select which muscle group on that map is trained in each workout

Also by having an active workout, the ability to select how many days have passed since each muscle group was trained on the muscle heat map

Add the ability so that a trainer can assign workouts to people (this can be premium)

A black theme would be great

Some timers that tell you when you how much time you should spend on each session and timers for how much you need to rest on each session (this can be premium also)

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for!

*2024-03-26*

This is my favorite workout app, I’ve been using it consistently for over three months now. It has good database of premade workouts and allows for a ton of customization. It’s incredibly simple to use with no subscription plan required. The debs are also very active on Reddit and listen really well to the community. Can’t recommend this app enough!

### 5/5 — Amazing app but so easy to delete routine

*2024-03-26*

Accidentally deleted my routine and all my history is gone 😭like s seriously?? Atleast provide a way to recover back!!

Update: The developers reached out to me but I dont need those history anymore. One feature request would be, I have my custom routine (push, pull, legs), where lets say I am doing pull (back) exercises. Sometimes I go deviant from the exercise I defined in the routine and add another exercise, I cant see that history next time I add that same exercise, so I have no way of knowing how much I did last time.

**Developer response:** Please Contact us on support and we'll recover it for you, no problem. Send us your username or email to our email hello@hardy.app, in Instagram DM-s @hardy.app, or on our Reddit subreddit.
