## What is Harmonica Tabs?

GENERAL INFO

Interactive collection of sheet music with notes and tablatures for mouth harmonica. This app will help you to learn and practice playing popular traditional melodies, and some other tunes.

App features:
- Different harmonica types and tunings:
--- 10-hole diatonic harmonica (Richter standard tuning, in keys from low-low F (F2) up to high G(G4)).
--- 12-hole chromatic harmonica in the key of C.
--- The Major Cross Tuning (by Tony Eyers).
--- The Paddy Richter Tuning (by Brendan Power).
--- More types in future releases.
- Allows to import new melodies from user-provided Music XML files (.mxl; .musicxml; .xml);
- Over 150 melodies to learn and practice;
- It can play every melody displaying the progress in the music sheet;
- Optional countdown before melody playback;
- Tune-able playback speed;
- Allows custom transposition of melodies;
- Allows to bookmark favorite melodies.

ADVERTISEMENTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

By default the app is supported by advertisements, and only a handful of melodies is accessible for free. Paid app subscriptions available in the in-app store unlock all melodies, and remove all advertisements. The profit from subscriptions will also allow for future app development, including new bug-fixes, new features, and new melodies.

### 3/5 — Advert covers UI— making app somewhat unusable

The ads are out of control on this thing, as of its newest update (accessed June 2025).  I often cant read or select things within the app because the sheet music & buttons are covered by an advertisement overlay. Poor design that way. Adverts are Ok but not if they cover up the User Interfaces functionality

**Developer response:** Hey, I believe, that is a special kind of "expandable" ads, able to present themselves outside the ads-dedicated area, you are talking about. They are always supposed to have a button to "collapse" them back to their intended place, thus restoring access to any UI elements they may overlay when expanded. Nothing related to them is invented by developer, it is just one kind of ads Google AdMob serves, presumably paying a bit extra for them, specifically for that possibility to temporarily occupy more space in the user interface.

If you want to sell a pro version you need to have a trial version which at least works a little bit. What you are offering is a JOKE

**Developer response:** Are you saying the app as is does not work for you for free (yes, in this case with advertisements, and many melodies pay-walled); or are you just upset that it does not let you to fully enjoy the app for free, without ads, nor any limitations, and then not paying anything at the end of trial? I believe, as is the app fully demonstrates what you will get after paying, thus either take it, or leave it - no need to be upset that my app does not embrace freeloaders :)

This is a decent app for being add supported…I just wish they had an option to pay once to unlock all of the songs and remove the adds. I’m so tired of apps being subscription based.
