### 3/5 — Téléchargement

*2023-01-17*

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2018-06-28*

Very useful app, but It should have few more some common modes.

### 3/5 — Good app no longer working.

*2017-11-29*

On an iPad Air, not sure if it’s a 2 or not but the latest HarmonyWiz does not work. Specifically, the splash screen opens upon start and then crashes back to the iOS 11.2 interface.

The program was an entertaining augmentation in scoring and was fun to use. Not quite a five star app but useful and fun to work with.

Hopefully it will be troubleshot and fixed.

### 4/5 — Good Opportunity For Apple Pencil Support

*2015-12-13, version 1.1*

Fun app even for semi-pro and pro musicians. The more editing post art, the better!

### 4/5 — One star short!

*2014-12-16*

Excellent and really useful app! A brilliant tool for starting a musical composition and hearing different harmonic variations and possibilities.

Only one suggestion for the developer which is really nice and helpful, in due time will earn a missing star! Please please pretty please...give us an option to be able to export the figured bass analysis with the PDF score, even separately on a basic text email form? PDF export of the score is really useful BUT it would be awesome for a student composer using the app to able to get a print out with the harmonic analysis if working away from the device. Thank you!

### 4/5 — quickly score a few measures

*2014-11-15*

1. At the top left, click on the score icon ... next to the brush-with-a-star icon ... this turns on the note writing feature.
2. Go to preferences ... the usual icon ... and turn on "expert" mode.
3. On the right side of the screen, the hand is selected ... this moves the page around ... click on the pen tool: the note icons below it will light up.
4. Now you can select a note type and touch the screen to place one on the score.
5. Make a few bars of melody and click the HW arranger. Don't worry about precise notation, the arranger will clean it up.

Play it. Press the star button to the right of HW and "clear arrangement". Refine and repeat.

Violins and cellos are a bit silly in these times ... a guitar, synth and bass combo would be welcome - and some of the expert buttons crash the app. Otherwise, it's an interesting little gadget.

### 3/5 — Could be great.

*2014-09-20*

I really wanted this to be great, but I've found it really buggy. I think it just needs some work and it could be a great app. Tried recording with the keyboard but doesn't always play back exactly what you played - it misses notes ect. I tried importing some midi melodies and it really struggled with this, changing them so they are unrecognisable, once it only left me with two notes at the end of eight bars.

### 4/5 — This Is Awsome!

*2014-08-09*

One thing, there should be staff lines on the paint surface so that people with some music theory can see the note their putting brush down on..... But....🌟🌟🌟🌟

### 5/5 — Very very very nice.

*2014-08-08*

This app looks good and sounds good.I love it, and a big thank you to the developers, for ironing out the major bugs, this is a total joy to use and a great inspirational tool that I can recommend to anyone.

### 5/5 — wow!

*2014-08-07*

Such a great tool…I really like the ease to create ideas and to work with them later in a DAW. Ben Christa

### 4/5 — Super Idee, mit kleinen Mängeln.

*2014-07-22*

### 4/5 — Nice Wiz'

*2014-07-16*

As an untrained person with extremely limited music reading skills; but, a lover of music and putting around with synthesizers and iPad instruments, I would say that I really like what this app is capable of even though it is a struggle to "feel" the relationship between the notes painted on the screen and the notes actually resulting from them. Here's what I feel is missing from the app:

(1) positive feedback that as you draw, you also hear the notes being selected as you draw them.
(2) four bars is simply way too limiting ... I can sneeze longer.
(3) I repeatedly tried; but, on my iPad Gen 4 which is up to date with iOS updates, does not scroll to the right as you draw so you are forced to "zoom out" to see all four bars in order to get continuity across the screen.

I take this as only round 1.1 in the app's life cycle though and look forward to its evolution. Did mine crash at any point? Not yet.

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2014-07-16*

As a music major that understands theory, the options to add notes and change chords is a great feature. The paint option is also quite creative.

For people saying that it doesn't make them an instant masterpiece, you should've known better. The way I use this app is to get ideas and edit them in Finale. It's like a rough draft and revised draft before you get to the final draft. It simply works as a foundation for any small composition I decide to make for my college music friends.

Anyway, the updated version works better with notes and non-chord tones outside of the key. It'd be cool to have more time signatures and an option to only make a harmony for certain parts of the song at a time, rather than having to arrange the entire song again.

Thank you Jordan Rudess and the awesome people of Wisdom Music for such an amazing app!

### 4/5 — Pretty nifty, but has problems.

*2014-07-10*

This app is pretty cool, it has the smoothest design of any of Wizdom Music's apps.
I imagine it could be very confusing for people with limited musical experience, and the paint a melody feature doesn't always produce the nicest of tunes.

But why are there so many in app purchases? The app is costly as it is, limiting the better sounds for the app is pretty insulting and really annoyed me when I first launched the app. When you compare the vast library of synths in previous apps with harmonywiz you will be greatly disappointed.

Still, it's a neat app, and fun to play around in. But for gods sake, cut it with the in app purchases!

### 5/5 — Another Masterpiece

*2014-07-07*

Once again, Jordan Rudess has created another fabulous app. Harmony Wiz is easy to use and the results are amazing. If you don't know how to play an instrument, or read music, no worries. Harmony Wiz does all the hard work, and makes you sound like the Maestro of the Universe. Thank you Mr. Rudess for for apps that inspire us to get creative.

### 5/5 — A stage for sonic immagination

*2014-06-29*

Always on the lookout for new apps to feed my iPad music dabbling habit, I chanced upon this absolute gem. The age that Pink Floyd spoke about, where anyone with a sonic imagination would have the tools to make music, is here! Only just started to dabble with this app, but was so impressed with what it could do that I bought all the add-on packs. Keep up the great work, Mr R and Co.

Nic

### 5/5 — Unique and totally inspirational

*2014-06-23*

I was really amazed when I saw this demonstrated by Jordan via synthtopia site. I notice that someone has complained about the lack of sounds and of the default sound set: I totally disagree. I don't expect this app to be a general music workstation, it's designed to help you sketch your musical ideas and harmonise any leads you create. The default sound set is very nice - ranging from strings, flutes to pianos and guitars. You can expand it with synth and other sound-sets, but I like the default sounds a lot. The synth expansion set does have that Jordan dream theater-style though.

This app is revolutionary and an amazing sketch pad. Once you use it to create your musical sketch, you would naturally want to switch to a general music workstation app such as korg gadget or any number of others to finish your song. This app will be the starting point for any music I create, and is thus indispensable.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2014-06-22*

I'm an engineer rather than musician so knowledge on harmony is not one of my strong points and something I'm just learning about.
This app really helps bring this together for me. A fun and educational app, well designed and intuitive for me at least. Here is a very happy customer. Just what I've been looking for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly designed user interface

*2016-03-12*

I am experienced with notation programs. This user interface is the worst that I have seen. The tutorial that comes with the app does not work. The tutorial on You Tube is terrible. The Help is worthloess. Do not waste your money.

### 1/5 — Not worth getting this app

*2015-10-11, version 1.0.6*

Part of it okay, but you can't add any sharp or flat notes. Also you can't add any dynamics (soft or loud). Not worth getting if you ask me.

### 1/5 — Does not work correctly for me

*2014-06-19, version 1.0*

Harmony Wiz is not a wiz. Cannot get it to start correctly and erase correctly. They need a video on how to use this app. I would not recommend Harmony Wiz until I get some answers which I have not.

### 1/5 — What the heck!

*2014-06-17, version 1.0*

This is an absolute waste of ten dollars!
Mozart, Beethoven and other musicians would think this is a waste!
I thought me and my French Horn would have a great time but nope.

### 1/5 — Rushed out without enough thought!

*2014-06-13*

MAJOR FLAW: After trying a keyboard I was immediately sent to "my creations" page. Unfortunately I have no creations because I deleted it. Still, the program insists that I name my creation which no longer exists. So I name it and then delete the ghost. But the program now wants me to name the ghost's ghost. In short, my program, in the matter of approximately three minutes, was stranded on a page that will not let me return to the program. Not the first such incident where this company is concerned. I was just about to purchase all of there instrument packs. Wrong decision. Buyer beware.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2014-06-20*

Good idea but only as good as the sounds they supply. I bought the in app packs but still sound like GM Midi need to be able to load your own samples. I'd give it a miss until that time

### 2/5 — Good, but far too slow.

*2014-06-18*

Apart from the fact that it regularly crashes, it is also very slow. I have gave up waiting for it to "harmonise" my music far too much. It seems to get stuck on a certain part of the song and refuses to move on; YouTube tutorial vids are obviously edited to disguise this fact.
It works well if I make a 1 or 2 bar loop, but any longer and problems arise. Hopefully these issues will be fixed with updates; if not, I'm deleting it.

### 2/5 — So so

*2014-06-17*

Disappointed in this app, although it has potential. Locks up,states more than 1 octave leap, fix once dialog appears, measures disappear when I try to extent the count. Everything sounds like a funeral dirge. All in all I'm hoping for some refinements as JR is a really dedicated musician.

### 2/5 — Proof that using math to make music will only go so far...

*2014-06-17*

Making music should not be constrained by sets of rules. Computer programs can only work on the set of rules with which they were programmed. The app just hung during the arrange phase and never finished for any idea I threw at it. I'm no Mozart, but you'd think I am based on how the app took a dump at any melody I came up with. Really neat idea and Jordan & Co. have put out some super killer apps. This one is a great idea but seems only to work well with the baroque style and with very simple melody lines. Honestly I'd ask for a refund on this one if I thought I could get it.

### 2/5 — naja...

*2014-06-16*

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2018-11-07*

I can’t believe that it’s only $10! The best composition app I’ve used on PC, macOS or iOS! Absolutely superb.

### 5/5 — Very fun and great for ideas

*2018-06-22*

I love how easy this app is to use and I’m constantly inspired by the suggestions it makes!

### 5/5 — Great Tool!

*2018-04-22*

Really wanted this app for my music process. I have an iPad Pro and Wizdom Music hadn’t updated this app for awhile. I wrote an email requesting my wishes. They replied immediately and soon after actually updated for the recent iOS. When I played with the customizations, it was possible for me to integrate my the song into composition. Such a cool app. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Good program

*2017-02-17*

### 5/5 — Program gayet güzel fakat.

*2016-04-17, version 1.1*

Merhabalar...

### 5/5 — Great support, app is excellent

*2016-01-22*

This app is absolutely awesome the harmonies are spot on. This should be in everyone's music writing toolkit love it

### 5/5 — Absolument génial!

*2015-03-22*

### 5/5 — The most important app to date

*2014-11-24*

Thank you Jordan !you have opened a door that will not only help new comers to music composition and theory but has been needed as a method of teaching music for way too long!Cheers! I am having a blast with this !peace Christo

### 5/5 — Wow

*2014-11-17, version 1.0.4*

This is a great app.! Lots of fun for an old school musician. Jordan is a musical marvel and tech guru!

You will enjoy!

### 5/5 — My new favourite app

*2014-09-06*

This app is simply amazing. I'm a recording artist and this app allows me to find melodies in a semi random way. Lots of ways to tweak it to get it just right. The vast majority of my future melodies will likely come from this app. That said, some of the instrument samples could be improved but it still deserves 5 stars
