### 1/5 — Very confusing interface.

*2025-04-28*

Confusing interface no help whatsoever

**Developer response:** Hi Melvis. Sorry to hear you're not getting the help you wanted for HarpGuru.

Have you watched the instructional videos at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_uFG-i4MZeFE3JYoFv0R0A or read the user manual at https://github.com/js-jslog/harpguru/blob/master/docs/user-manual.md?

Hopefully these will be enough to get you going, but if you have any questions you can always contact me at contact@harpguru.com.

### 1/5 — Unusable on iPhone 13

*2024-05-21, version 12.1.0*

You gotta be kidding me. This app can not be used on iPhone 13. The right side menu is behind the blankout from the screen.
I want a refund !!!!

### 3/5 — Display NOT scaled for iPhone or iPad screen size

*2021-02-23*

This app looks like it would be very helpful for harmonica players. But it has a major problem, it is not scaled to be viewed on iPhone screen or iPad screen. When I want to do anything with it the displays overlaps each other and I can’t make heads or tails of what I am reading. It definitely has powerful potential if it could be read clearly. Want so badly for this to work. Please update app so it is readable, very much want to use it.

**Developer response:** Hi. I believe this issue has now been resolved. If you disagree at all then please get in touch at contact@harpguru.com. If you agree then I hope you can see fit to update your review. Thank you. I hope you can be my biggest fan again.

### 4/5 — Needs a written manual/tutorial

*2021-12-26*

I’m a beginner harp player, so this app is used only to replace paper note charts. I’m sure it will be more useful as I advance in skill.

I really appreciate the app respecting my privacy by not collecting data. I do not purchase apps that do, or buy subscriptions.

The app really needs a written manual. The YouTube videos were hard to get to, and did not help.

Overall, a great effort by a small developer. 5 stars when there’s a good manual.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2022-09-16, version 12.1.0*

This app has improved my playing immensely as it’s visual. It’s also great for learning theory.

### 5/5 — Harpguru is a must have

*2022-01-04, version 12.1.0*

I am a relatively new harp player. Learning scales and positions became so much easier with this app. The developer is highly responsive to his audience of users. All tunings of various brands are included. In addition, the developer continues to provide education. Just go get the app.

### 5/5 — A great learning tool.

*2021-12-08*

A huge amount of thought and planning went into this app. I am using it to learn more about positions on my harps and different tunings. I combine it with some of Jason Ricci’s lessons to “look” at the theory Jason is talking about, and I use it to explore different tunings before (and after) I buy alternate tuned harps. The more you use it the deeper it goes in what it can show you.

### 5/5 — Great concept

*2021-04-02*

Hopefully weekly videos will be very helpful...App will need fine tuning with updates but developer is already on top of it and very responsive.

**Developer response:** Thanks very much for the positive feedback, including that the supporting videos are well received. I will do my best to get them out as regularly as possible, and will certainly be putting the app through constant improvements too.

### 5/5 — iPhone format issue addressed

*2021-03-28*

This is an awesome tool for the beginning harmonica players as well as advanced and performing players. With appreciation to the developer, the image formatting issue on iPhones has been addressed! First, make sure your accessibility text size increase function is “off”, and then rotate your phone -180degs to avoid the famous iPhone screen “notch”. Your set!

**Developer response:** Hi Banjowithmarco,

Thank you for the kind words, and yes if you or anyone else ever have issues, questions or requests all you have to do is get in touch at contact@harpguru.com. Just an FYI, with the latest release you shouldn't even need to modify your font size at all to use the app. It should just work "out the box".
