## What is hashcloud?

With hashcloud – your new cloud storage - you can easily share files using #hashtags.

Simply come up with a new #hashtag and share it with friends or colleagues. Anyone who knows this #hashtag can then upload files to it and download files from other users. This makes hashcloud perfect for exchanging files at university, at work, among friends, or within the family.

Hashcloud is a cloud storage service designed specifically for easy file sharing. You no longer need to ask for contact information from people you want to collaborate with. Nor do you need to create complicated and confusing links to send to these individuals. With hashcloud, you simply come up with a suitable #hashtag that best describes your group work or file directory. The involved parties can easily remember this #hashtag and enter it into their app.

The cloud storage is completely hosted in Germany. All files are stored on German servers and are thus subject to GDPR. So, you don't have to worry about your files falling into the wrong hands. Also, a #hashtag acts like a password. The more difficult and unique your #hashtag is, the less likely someone will access your files. Conversely, you can also create open #hashtags, for example, if you want to share files with as many users as possible. However, if you want to be completely secure, simply add a password to your #hashtag. You must be an admin or the creator of the #hashtag to do this. Other users can only join the #hashtag if they also know your chosen password.

The price is immaculate for 1 tb, but when you switch your Apple account or even log out, it bugs out and gives me 1 gb, and if I restore the subscription, it still doesn’t give me the 1 tb. Thus, I cancel my subscription because I no longer have it.

Doesn’t work any more. I upload a picture and it just sits in the app as a yellow square with png written on it. And a video stays as a yellow square with mov written on it. Useless. When I scan a document and click “done” the scan goes nowhere. It doesn’t even appear in your app. It just disappears. Absolutely pathetic app. You did an update on 15June and all my hashtags disappeared!!!I have only just downloaded this today after finding a link to it for free subscription for 100 GB. After trying it for approximately half an hour, it seems okay, But I wouldn’t pay for a subscription until the iron out the following issues. A) you cannot send a photo or video directly to the app, you have to be in the app first and pull in the file. It would be great if you could send a photo or video to the hashtag app from within the photo gallery like you can do with Google Drive. B) The music player is a little basic, would be nice to have an equaliser and next track and previous track buttons. C) Can’t sort files and can’t select multiple files to deleted can’t delete a folder within a folder. No delete option. D) The music often doesn’t load properly. It only loads and plays half the song. Where’s all my other apps have no issue playing those songs. I was hoping to perhaps use this app to store some of my music to play in the car, but the app is no good for that due to the above limitations, E) When I send a link to another phone it says “The #hashtag does not exist”. NOT GREAT.

I signed up last time via app advice for 1000gb for lifetime somehow I now only have 1 gb and just a 30 page paper from my college lit class uploaded is impossible it took 999 gb

I hope you guys get this figured out as nobody responds via support 😢

The last update I did of these app I lost all my storage not sure why (but) that was over summer and it still hasn’t reappeared.

I worry if I upgrade the 1 gig I have will disappear and I will actually have to start giving my own phone storage to the app (yes being silly) but something happened and haven’t updated ever again.

The first time it was on AppAdvice it offered a free lifetime subscription with a good amount of storage (maybe some were storing every episode of friends or something) so I can understand developer wanting to cut back on the amount of free storage any 1 person might use but hopefully whatever elf took all my storage might bring it back 😊

I’ve tried to contact support for help and to find out what files are taking up my storage space. I haven’t been able to get help or find out so I have to rate the app star due to the difficulty. I will change my review if things change. edit 1/4/2025: thank you dev for responding here. Unfortunately whether I try to use contact support in the app itself (I just updated too), or by using contact support on the website, I get into a forever loading screen.

Edit: 1/5/25: I was able to reach support and was helped with finding out the hashtag I had storage in. I’m changing my rating to a 4 star since I was helped but it’s strange that the only way I was able to delete things if I don’t have the correct hashtag saved was get customer service to tell me what it was. There’s no way to do it in the app. The app or the website will say that you have a bunch of storage taken up but there’s no option to clear it unless you email support and wait for them to tell you. Would be a 5 star rating if there was no need to email and wait for support to respond for such an essential feature.
