## Newest reviews (1 of 19)

### 1/5 — Non starter, really

*2014-11-06*

Didn't get much chance to evaluate the programme, after half a dozen runs it wanted payment. Needs to get this sorted out.

**Developer response:** Just buy compilations package and use it as much as you want!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Basically worthless

*2022-09-03, version 13.0*

Will not compile anthing but the Hello World example.

### 1/5 — Crapware

*2019-08-07*

This app doesn’t do anything and is simply here to have you spend money.

### 1/5 — No point in making it free

*2019-03-20*

If you're going to charge people for compilations, just make the app paid so people don't have to waste time figuring that out. As it currently stands, you NEED to buy an in-app purchase to use this app.

Just use tryhaskell.com (for free) in Safari if you really need to use Haskell on a phone.

### 1/5 — Won't let you compile

*2017-01-31, version 9.4*

I've compiled ZERO times, and it won't let me compile even once. You have to pay for each compilation. Why?

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, we can't offer free compilations with the application. But you can compile and run the sample program for free.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2016-11-12, version 9.4*

You can compile once, after that you need either to pay for unlimited compiles or then click " 100 compiles" but nothing happens -- deleted , why this is on the AppStore is a mystery to me!

**Developer response:** If you made purchase of unlimited compilations and something is wrong with it then you can restore it for free on the Settings screen.

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2016-04-26, version 7.4*

You can't actually compile and run a program unless you pay for compilations.

A classic bait and switch.

**Developer response:** Just buy compilations and use the application as much as you want!

### 1/5 — What a joke

*2016-04-17*

No Dropbox support, when editing you lose half the screen, and is pay by compilations - which any programmer will tell you is garbage. Waste of time.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your suggestion about Dropbox.

### 1/5 — Less than a non-starter

*2016-03-21*

I got zero compilations. The message referred me to the Settings page, which offered 100 but then froze.
I'm not paying for 'unlimited' until I've tried it.

**Developer response:** You can compile the sample program for free.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2016-03-13*

Better to use online compiler on Haskell.org. At least it works. And doesn't pretend to be free apps not given a chance to try it.

**Developer response:** Mobile application is more convenient way to write, compile and run programs!

### 1/5 — rip off

*2016-02-08, version 7.4*

Total crap, do not pay for open source software

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, we can't offer free compilations with the application.

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Reviewer “App_Known” is Precisely Correct

*2020-11-22, version 13.0*

It’s become increasingly difficult to believe ANY review, as people have become SO aggressively attacking in their comments. They say things in text that (I hope) they would NEVER say in person! In this app, the price for “unlimited” is basically FREE. What’s wrong with these “people”?!

To the developer: PLEASE IGNORE the idiots who expect EVERYTHING for free! Let them work FOR LESS THAN minimum wage, for FAR LESS THAN an hour!

THANK YOU, DEVELOPER, FOR ALL YOUR EXCELLENT WORK!!!

### 5/5 — Works like a charm!

*2020-04-08, version 13.0*

I had to fix the biased reviews on this app. Haskell is amazing and this app is impressive and ‘functional’ and a wonderful opportunity to practice Haskell from anywhere in the palm of my hand. Such power!!! Some users can be the biggest babies about things that are totally good for them. Thanks Developer!!!

### 5/5 — Great way to learn Haskell

*2019-11-18, version 13.0*

This is an excellent app with a reasonable pricing model. I’m puzzled by the negative reviews that are ostensibly by other engineers who seem to believe they are uniquely entitled to compensation for their work. This app is worth MORE than the small price for unlimited compiles.

### 5/5 — Haskell Programming On The Go

*2019-10-17, version 12.0*

I am learning Haskell. This little gem let’s me practice on the go for a very reasonable price. Keep up the good work, D!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2014-05-03, version 4.5.1*

I am writing a compiler that targets many languages and this app is ideal for my purposes. Keep up the good work!

### 3/5 — It works but could have a few updates

*2021-05-07*

Would be nice to have the option for spaces not tabs as an indent. Default is one tab which doesn't play nicely with Haskell.

Also, some auto completion of variable names etc...

### 3/5 — External library support

*2019-10-31*

This for me is a handy App for testing some concepts and experiments. I have not yet discovered whether it can handle external libraries - I get an error when adding a line such as import Lens.Micro . Maybe there is a way to include libraries.

### 2/5 — Um...

*2016-11-05, version 9.4*

More than a little bit irritated to learn, after paying for unlimited compilations, that practically no common modules are available.

**Developer response:** All standard modules must be available. Please write to support what modules you are expect to work.
