## What is Hatchure?

Round trips to ride, hike and run — and every stop on the way with a time: open or closed when you get there.

The route is the easy part. What ruins a day is the hut that has shut, the store that is closed on Sunday, the water fountain that has run dry. So Home starts with three buttons: Find food & water nearby, Plan a route, and Ride a round trip from here.

ROUND TRIPS
More than 29,000 round trips across Europe, under Routes › Ideas: over 12,000 to run, and over 8,000 each to hike and to ride. Plus some 2,000 passes and summits, each with the round trips that go over it. Every round trip shows its elevation profile and its stops in the order you reach them — with what is open by then. Start it wherever you like.

TOUR SENSE
Tour Sense on every round trip: which of the next five days suit it and why, when to leave and, on the bike, which way round in the wind. Home shows the round trips near you that suit the coming days. Your own routes get the good days too; Patron adds the weather and when to leave. Keep a round trip for later. On Thursday evening Hatchure tells you which day of the weekend suits it: dry, the temperature at the top, light wind. The weather is checked on your iPhone.

HORIZON AND 3D
At the top of Home: how long the light lasts, the climb of the day, and Your horizon, every climb around you in its direction. Look through the camera and every summit carries its name. Tilt the map and the ground stands up in 3D — or put the route on a table.

ON FOOT AND ON THE BIKE
Time on foot the way the signposts give it (DIN 33466), pace for a run, difficulty on the SAC scale. Springs, shelters and viewpoints are stops of their own, and Hatchure tells you beforehand whether you'll finish after sunset. On the bike, arrival times follow your weight, your bike and the climbing.

YOUR OWN ROUTE
Tap Plan a route and draw: Hatchure takes the route along real ways and finds the stops along it. Say when you set off, and every stop gets a time. If the hut sits just off the line, one tap takes the route past it.

PLAN SEVERAL DAYS
Tap Planning several days? as you draw, say when you go, for how many days and how far a day, and Hatchure plans each day and where to sleep: campsites, huts or hotels. Or plan it day by day. Try it on the sample trip; your own trips are Patron.

ON THE WAY
Your next stop sits on the lock screen: name, distance, arrival time, and whether it is open then. No turn-by-turn, just your stops. On Apple Watch a tap on the wrist comes just before each stop, and the Action button starts a ride, hike or run, phone or not.

FIRST-HAND
Stops come from OpenStreetMap and from people who were there. Confirm, correct or add one, even from a photo of the sign. Share a route as a link; nobody needs the app to look.

ALSO
• Planning needs no account. Saving and sending to a GPS device need a free one.
• No ads, no trackers.
• Offline areas: the map and its stops without signal.
• Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts, iPad.
• Miles or kilometers.
• Stops are dense in Germany and the Alps, thinner beyond.

MEMBERSHIP
Free: save 3 routes with 10 stops each. Supporter+ (yearly) brings 30 routes, folders and view links. Patron (yearly) brings unlimited routes, several days in one route, stops for the long stretches without water and food, weather for each day, round trips on request and planning together.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.3 — 2026-10-23

Your own places on the map, and a fix for the folded iPhone Duo.

• My places: hold the map to save your own places, with a name, a note, an icon and a list. Route from or to them, find them in search, and see them under You.
• Fixed: on the folded iPhone Duo, a round trip's page and its buttons no longer run under the side bar.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-10-22

A Home that shows what's around you, and an app made for iPhone Duo and iPad.

• Home leads with the place: the climbs near you in photos, the records of the round trips around you (most passes in a day, most climbing, the longest, the quickest summit), and the three things you came to do as coloured tiles.
• iPhone Duo: the tab bar and the route's controls stand in the side rail, Route Details fits every posture, and round trip and climb pages split at the fold, the picture on one side and the rest on the other.
• On iPad and the open iPhone Duo, round trip and climb pages use two panes.
• A route's buttons are glass now, and the page runs on beneath them.
• Long stretches without water or food: Add a stop draws each gap as a bar and puts the suggestions under the stretch they close.
• Bike shops and repair stations have a filter group of their own.
• Which stops the map shows for a route is a chip on the map again: along it, nearby, or only yours.
• A stop you added to your route is drawn as the stop in an amber ring, and the map legend names it.
• Pull the route bar up to open the route.
• Fixed: hours with a lunch break no longer read as two days.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-19

Restaurants as stops, and a calmer route planner.

• Restaurants and beer gardens are stops now, under Food & water. Lunch and dinner hours count: a restaurant that closes in between says when it opens again.
• While you plan, the map keeps out of the way: its buttons fold into one slim column, and the route's figures fit on one line.
• Route options, when you leave and Tour Sense are three rows under the figures, each with its current value. Tour Sense opens its own page: the next five days, sunrise and sunset, and what it checks.
• Tap the route bar at the bottom of the map to open the route. Hold a filter chip to open the filters at its group.
• "Add a stop" is the last row of your stops.
• The app looks the same throughout: one search field, one switch between riding, hiking and running, Close at the top right of every sheet, and a stop's status with its symbol.
• Text is a little smaller and the same across the app. If you want it bigger, use your iPhone's text size.
• Fixed: map filter counts, and fountains no longer say they run all winter.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-16

New: the Gipfelpass. Every summit and pass counts, on foot, running or by bike. Log it at the top, record the day in Hatchure, or open your recording's GPX afterwards, from Garmin or Strava for example.

At 3, 10 and 30 summits a sticker comes by post (within Germany), and all three earn 6 months of Supporter+. The Winter edition runs until 27 March. Your summits stay on your phone.

Also: on Routes › Yours, "Pick a day for a route" and "Finished trips" sit at the bottom when the list is short.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-14
