## What is HATTECH?

HATTECH is a motorsport temperature monitoring app that works with HATTECH infrared sensors to display real-time surface temperature data over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, HATTECH hardware helps drivers, engineers, and race teams monitor thermal performance during testing and track use. While commonly used for tyres and brake rotors, the system is not limited to those components. It can also be used to monitor other vehicle areas where infrared temperature data is useful for performance analysis, setup development, and condition monitoring.

The app provides live temperature data from compatible HATTECH sensors, giving you a clearer view of how components are behaving on circuit and during test sessions. 

By tracking transient surface temperatures, you can analyse heat build-up, heat distribution, cooling behaviour, and thermal consistency under load.

A new Tyre Contour visual has been developed to allow drivers to have a better understanding of the temperature distribution in their tyres and make adjustments to optimise tyre performance. By displaying a heat map of the tyre's contour, drivers can easily identify areas of high and low temperatures, indicating potential issues such as over-inflation or under-inflation.
