### 5/5 — The check‑in app finally built for 2026.

*2026-09-20*

I used Swarm for over a decade, and while it was nostalgic, it never evolved. Haunts.io is the modern upgrade I always wanted. The interactive map is stunning, trips are automatically stitched together into a clean timeline, and the app actually writes the story of your travels by connecting every place you visit. It turns your check‑ins into a living travel journal instead of a static list.

Exploring new spots earns XP, your “haunts” become meaningful chapters, and the app builds beautiful map paths showing everywhere you’ve been — locally or across the world. It’s fast, polished, privacy‑focused, and genuinely fun. If you ever loved Swarm, Haunts.io is the future of check‑ins and travel storytelling.
